For sale a 1997 Toyota land Cruiser triple locked.
This vehicle has ~420 hours of paint and body work put into this build. All the work was done by the body and paint teachers, Mark and Dave at Clackamas Community college in Oregon City Oregon.
What sets this vehicle apart from every other Land Cruiser is we were able to stuff 40" tires under this vehicle with our any sort of vehicle suspension or body lift. This Land Cruiser, appropriately called Clifford is 100% stock in every way. The only modification I have done is cut away the factory sheet metal 7" higher. As a result new inner and outer fender wells were created, bead roller for additional stiffness and rhino lined to reduce interior noise. Truly a one of a kind build and a blank slate to build upon. Great for a company vehicle, or Expedition build as it get a lot of attention in any situation.
The Land Cruiser sits on brand new 40" Nitto Mud Grappler tires, with real Method Bead lock wheels. It runs and drives like as stock rig, no goofey steering angle or caster issues as Clifford is truly 100% stock. It makes a great daily driver. It is truly a blank slate to add your personal touch to it. It is truly SEMA quality work and it needs someone to finish it up to make it theirs.
I have 100% of the factory internal and exterior parts that were taken off Clifford, front and rear bumpers, tow hitch, 3rd row seating, all plastic interior panels, fender flares, everything has been stored indoors during the restoration and has been reinstalled. In addition I have a set of DIY rock rails custom designed for Clifford that need welding but have not been welded up or installed as well as a Lab Racks Roof Rack with awning mounts and 360 degree lighting that was removed for painting as has not been reinstalled that will go with the vehicle as well. It also has a Lab Racks 3RD row cargo rack installed.
The antenna has been shaved, roof rack removed and holes welded shut as well as the rear hatch wing was removed and holes welded shut. Several of the items under hood engine accessories have been relocated to allow for the inner fender being lifted 7".
I would give the fit and finish of the sheet metal work a 10 out of 10, and the paint work a 9.5 out of 10.
Aside from the body work, paint, tires and wheels the only other "new part" is Clifford has a new AMG battery and K&N air filter. Newly installed $1200 Kenwood stereo with GPS navigation, powered antenna and all new speakers installed behind factory grill covers.
I still have a quart of factory Toyota red paint that has been kept inside the house to ensure it was not exposed to extreme temperatures for touch up down the road as it is $1300 a gallon for OEM Land Cruiser Red. This vehicle has been driven ~1500 miles since the completion build and has been stored indoors.
218k miles, everything works, AC blows cold. Lockers work, sun roof and power seats work. The front driver side seat has rips in the leather, and it could new new window seals as the factory seals have shrunk and the windows are slow to operate. If you own one of these or have been look at them this is no surprise to you as this is standard issue on an 80 series land cruiser. I would give the interior an 8.5 out of 10. The interior is also 100% stock, my minus the aftermarket stereo and speakers.

Project Clifford, my 1997 triple locked 80 series. I knew from the get-go what I wanted. I have always had a soft spot for the rugged 80 series Land Cruiser’s. Take the dependable awesomeness of the 80 and combine that with the looks of the Jeep Skunkworks division lower 40 JK that first...
