Looking good! I hope you don't mind if I hit you up for some pointers as I embark on my own swap in the immediate future. Speaking of which, what are you using for a fuel pump? Are you using the stock fuel lines from tank to engine bay?

Me first !! Free vacation rental car......just may take a week to get running !!!
lets do it!!

use stock denso supra fuel pump and factory fuel lines. Fuels my healthy 6.0L just fine

Is it possible to retain a Safari snorkel with the V8's?
Yes I retain the stock air firer housing which would allow you to keep your snorkel or add one. I have a snorkel on my Lexus

So, what your saying is if I take a couple weeks off work and drive down, and stay, and wrench with you, under your direction while you're at work, that we could get this knocked out!?!?

Radiator is being custom built through Steel Nutz Fabrication. Will be a little bit larger than the stock setup but with dual 14inch sealed Spal fans and built in shroud.

Rockjock,

So do you routinely use custom rad's and dual fans for your installs? Some of the early builds had problems with the amp draw on the electric fans, and seems some just went back to screwing a fan on the threaded main(?) pulley.

Since, seems I have seen installs where the PCM was programmed to turn electric fans on/off at specific temps

I have had no issues with my ac or cooling in my conversions but I am testing out a new alternative to using Taurus/Volvo high amp drawing fan setups. The Spal fans pull a lot of air at a low current and are a completely sealed motors from water and dust. The builder produces coolant systems for desert race trucks so I am confident on their capabilities. You are correct the GM ECU has the ability to send a ground for high and low fan operations at varying temps.

PS line are assembled with high pressure mocked up. Majority of the front clip put back together waiting on one ac line to get crimped for reassembly. Changing up some things on the wiring to make it look yet even cleaner than previous. Punch list is narrowing down. Should hopefully have his radiator setup next week. This baby is near ready to fire. Then onto a 40th LS2 build :). Who will be the next lucky 80/LX450???

A York? That's so 1990's my friend. We have a lot better methods for producing compressed air today :D

The '90s rocked and I had hair :crybaby:

Radiator is done and on its way! Dual 14in Spal fans will cool this beast nicely... Wrapping this baby up here shortly :).

In talking to Mike last night, his thinking is being here in AZ, one area you want to NOT skimp on is cooling and keeping his AC chilly - I agree whoe heartedly!

I got promised a ride in the finished beast :steer:

Cant wait!

What's the matter, couldn't you find a bigger set of fans to put on there?

Will the SPAL fans use the GM fan control or some sort of a fancy variable speed control?
