Toyota side of wiring integration is complete next is the fusion of the two. One pic is the wiring complete, second
pic is the aftermath. In second pic the wiring on the left is what is being used, on the right is what is being discarded.

That's a lot of unused wires! Looks like a mess!

I can see the benefit of it, but is eliminating the extra wiring required, a byproduct of integrating the GM and Toyota harnesses, or just a step taken to simplify future wiring/troubleshooting, etc?

Keep up the good work. :wrench:  :wrench:

It is not required but looks much cleaner. I don't think there is need for the 1fz injector harness ect in the engine bay with your pretty v8 :)

I've seen it mentioned in a few swaps and it can sort of be seen in the image below, but can you give more details of how the marks x-fer shifter plate has to be modified to line up correctly in the original location?

I was just cutting the plate provided my marks and centering it in the mounting spot. It's not necessary but I'm just crazy like that it has to look perfect...

How hard was the shift kit to install? Could it be done with trans already in place?
You can do it in the truck, just messy.. Not too hard to do just time consuming and detail oriented. Buy a new vb plate while you at it.
