That was a weird auction.

Just curious. What was weird? I def think it is worth more but the market priced it.

The initial wheel discussion. Where the seller (who sold a ton of LCs) apparently didn't understand what 2 piece rims are.
Not much action for an unusual 80 that's on the ground, legally in the US.
Bizarre accusatory comment from an active site bidder/seller after the auction was complete.
Low (IMO) winning bid. I was surprised it met reserve.
Winner was a brand-new account.
Seller saying that they hoped the buyer didn't complete the deal.

I dunno. It had a weird vibe to me.

Heavy duty tire on split rim completely aired out.

Right now there is a sweet diesel on BAT. The bidders have new accounts. I think that is pretty normal. Someone sees a truck they are interested in and creates an account to bid. I wish this would come up during the auction. Give the new bidder a chance to respond.

Also, found an Australian forum validating comment about airing out heavy duty tires on split rims.

I think there are people stateside who would rather have an automatic. Especially if it is used for a family car.

I mean in the United States. Lots of people use them instead of vans. Unfortunately, a lot of wives can't drive a manual.

To end the conspiracy theories. Purchaser is in fact a real person. I was waiting on confirmation because he is in California and I guess he didn't realize the car wouldn't pass emissions. I guess he figured it out. I think he probably bought the cheapest 80 that has 40k miles on it. Congrats to him. Thanks to all for their comments. I already regret selling it.

Market is definitely down. Eventually, you will probably see less imports.
