Well, a sad day has come. I must sell my 1994 Cruiser. With baby #4 on the way this summer, my money and my time are tied up in job and family. While hoping to finish this up with a lift and sliders, it now is not in the cards. Hopefully someone can finish up the project and enjoy this girl for many more years.

Location: Utah (1/2 hour south of Salt Lake)

General Info
Best looking cruiser on the road (sorry, its true) Excellent running Cruiser. Engine runs like new. Cruiser is in great shape, interior and exterior and is the rare charcoal color. I’ve owned for 7 years. Bought it with 115k on the ticker, now has 176k and change. I’ve run Amsoil/Mobil 1 synthetic all throughout. Prior to coming to Utah, it spent it’s life in Las Vegas owned by an Asian woman it appeared.

I’ve replaced/upgraded many parts, so this cruiser won’t nickel and dime you (other than gas) to death. See below the link to my write-up on the PM head gasket replacement and all the stuff I replaced. Heck, how often do you get to see interior pix of an engine on a vehicle that’s for sale?

Unfortunately, I rarely had it off-road, and when I did, it was typically nothing too serious.

Mods
  • Almost new ARB winch bumper (only 1 yr old)
  • Full length ARB rack
  • George’s LEDs
  • Center Diff Switch
  • Head unit, ipod input
  • Front speakers, Pioneer
  • Middle speakers, Pioneer
  • Larger tires (285/75/16) with full Discount Tire warranty, a lot of tread left
  • Good floor mats

The Bad
  • No lockers. Sorry.
  • The A/C for some reason simply does not come on. It worked perfectly the whole time I’ve owned it, but after doing the head gasket, it didn’t turn on just like that. So I believe its a simple fix, but have not had the time to get after it.
  • Rear upper arch pan leaks. I’ll include the FIPG that I bought to repair it, but again, have not had the time to repair it. It will leave drips on your driveway, though I’ve lived with it for years. Keeps fresh oil running through the engine and the undercarriage rust proof!
  • Front dome-light stopped working. Seems to be a ground problem.
  • Antenna mast was busted, though it still goes up and down no problem.
  • Clear coat failure on the hood and couple of other small spots. Included is the Raptor lining to finish that job.
  • The “D” light is out.

Maintenance
Almost all parts I purchases are OEM and came from Cdan. Here’s a list of everything I’ve done the past 18 months:

Head gasket replacement as PM (see my write-up on Mud: https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/252299-done-2-headgaskets-now-my-write-up-w-pix.html

  • Fuel Injectors rebuilt and cleaned by WitchHunter
  • Fuel filter
  • spark plugs
  • complete cleaning of intake, piston tops and throttle body
  • complete head job including cleaning, valve adjustment, machining by local machine shop
  • All EGR parts (EGR valve, temp sensor, modulator and vsv).
  • air intake hose
  • Belts (all OEM from CDan)
  • New u-joints on front drive shaft
  • Coolant flush (obviously)

Last three years:
  • Radiator (OEM)

  • Full tranny flush

Nice rig, good price. But it is no where near as pretty as mine. :D:flipoff2: Good luck, it shouldn't last long.

2x On it shouldn't last long....

You would have 5800 more in your bank account already if I hadn't just purchased a 94 in Arkansas...you are sooo much closer too. Lots of folks looking for good 80's though

I just added more pix to the collection listed above.
The link is here. BTW, my contact info is on the bottom of the site. I'm the idiot on the left.

Also, I installed a PCV catch-can when I did the head gasket. I couldn't bear to let that thing vent oil back into my intake that I'd meticulously cleaned. You'll see it on the driver side view of the engine pix.

Oh, and the tires were rotated and balanced last week. Tires have full life time warranty from Discount Tire.
