It is time to thin out the Toyota herd. I am selling my beloved 1994 ute chopped 3x locked Land Cruiser. The previous owner did the tubing work and cab chop. I welded in the metal surrounding the rear window and have cleaned up and maintained this truck very well.
I have put almost 8,000 miles on this truck and have done very few repairs. It currently has almost 234,000 miles on it. It has done trips to New York and Southwest, Virginia. I have not had it out in the trails more then 3 times. I have kept it very clean and re-clad the truck with dark green panels off of a 1990. I get between 14 and 16 miles to the gallon on road trips. It tracks pretty straight and is comfortable with the racing seats. The suspension in the back is stiff because of being very light in the rear. All three lockers work perfectly. It will go anywhere. The drivetrain is stock 1994. It has current inspection until October.
The 1FZ runs like a top. No smoke, it is smooth and super quiet. I have no history on the head gasket but the PHH has been taken care of and it has not lost a drop of antifreeze in the year I have had it. It does not drip oil but does have a slow weep from the back of the oil pan. The power steering is quiet but does weep out of the steering column input on the steering box. I have a rebuilt still in box steering box that will go with it. The transmission is the A442F and it shifts perfectly. I would drive this truck anywhere and never planned to sell it but some life events have come up and it needs to go to new home. I want 5,000 OBO, or trade for a clean FJ40 (1975-1982) body. Feel free to contact me if you have questions or to make an offer. Thank you

Have any more pics of how the back of the cab was closed up? Does it look good or is it hacked?

WHY???

I can attest for this vehicle. Very well done.... Not a hack job, in my opinion....

But WHY??????

my chopped 80 weighs 4200lbs. Stock gearing and 35s is averaging me just under 400mi. to a tank/ 19.6mpgs on the hyw right now........also less weight makes braking feel awesome. No lift but body sits 2" higher and it needs no swaybars and handles waaaay better than an 80. ......21" shorter overall than an 80 . Fully loaded puts me back to stock weight - so no added strain on overbuilt oem components/reliability. :)

need more? no cats, no smog, no egr, No leaky sunroof or rear windows, manual windows, more towing capacity, better breakover angles, less rattles, hybrid parking, cheaper registration, cheaper insurance.

Chops are where its at on the portly 80. ;)

It is I believe 14 or 16 gauge steel on the bottom part of the cab, which was done by the previous owner. I put 12 gauge steel in where the window is.
