I am selling my 1993 HZJ77 ZX as I am having to make some difficult but realistic changes to my goals and plans for the next few years. I originally bought this vehicle in April of 2010 at 125,250 Kms with the idea of doing an Overland trip through either Africa or Central & South America - those plans are currently on hold, and it doesn't make sense for me to hang on this until things can change for me.
The ZX trim package is the highest one for this model. It comes with things like really good A/C (R134a based - so easy to work with), suspension seats, tilt/slide sun roof, rear defrost, rear wipe with intermittent, front wipe with variable intermittent. This unit has the rear heater option and the fuel heater option.
It currently has ~145,800 Kms and the longest trip I have done with it was to Death Valley and back over Christmas break 2012/13. The truck runs flawlessly, and is easily made ready for expedition style driving. It has a very few very minor cosmetic flaws which I will point out in the photos. It has White paint with usual blue / grey interior.
What have I added to it since I imported it:
- Complete factory style installation of Toyota electric lockers, right down the the correct tachometer face and trim plates in the interior. Other than the chassis data tag, there is no way of knowing that this was not done at the factory.
- ARB winch bumper.
- Factory Aisin 10k lbs 24V winch mounted to a plate and then fitted into the ARB winch bumper.
- Old Man Emu suspension with Rancho 9000 shocks, since the OME offerings are a bit too short I went with the adjustable Rancho units.
- Denco water-cooled turbo system (uses a Garrett turbo unit).
- Auber gauges for Boost and Pyro.
- Kenwood stereo with proper ipod interface via USB.
- I recently replaced the wheel bearings, and front brakes just after importing. I replaced the rear rotors, pads and rebuilt the calipers at Christmas before going to Death Valley. The timing belt was done just before I got the vehicle.
- ACSD removed, valves set, timing checked.
Other maintenance is up to date or and any minor maintenance items will be brought up to date before selling it (heater hoses, rad hoses and a few other minor items).
This vehicle is not 25 years old and can not be brought in to the USA until it is 25 years old. However, if you are a very serious buyer in the USA, please contact me by private message for more information about how I might be able to help you.
[STRIKE]Price: $36,500 CAD or best offer. [/STRIKE]
2013 07 22 Price Reduced to $33,500 or best offer
SOLD 2013 09 30
My asking price is directly related to what I have invested in this vehicle. I do not have a profit motive here at all, just looking to get back out what I have put in to it. These are rare units and retain their value very well.
I may be able to help with delivery to North American locations at the purchasers expense.
I will post photos shortly.
This is a personal vehicle, and not related to my business.
