Fuego for sale

Fuego is a Japanese RHD Toyota Land Cruiser fire truck. Factory built by Toyota in 1993 as a dual cab chassis with a tall roof und built out as a fire truck with a PTO pump by Marita.
Imported to the USA in 2020, then sold to us in May of 2021. The Model distinction is U-HZJ75-MRU with a VIN identification number of HJZ75-0018358. This vehicle is legally registered and has a clear Washington title.
Powered by a Toyota 1HZ 4.2L straight-six diesel engine, manual H55F 5 Speed transmission with HI and Low 4 wheel or 2 rear wheel drive. The odometer reads about 6050 KM / 3760 Miles!!!!!
These Fire trucks are equipped with a double radiator set up to prevent overheating during PTO use.
Air to the engine is supplied by a SAFARI snorkel.
The front hubs are self locking.
All original shocks and leaf springs front and rear. Super low miles BF Goodridge KO2 LT 235/85 R16 tires on 16” steel rims with a D shape pattern.

The front of the vehicle is protected by an extended steel bumper to Allow for corner markers and red emergency lights.

Front illumination is provided by stock headlights with side markers.

The rear of the vehicle has been freed of all fire fighting equipment, including PTO pump, all piping and switch mechanisms. The original fire truck fuel tank is temporarily mounted behind and above the rear axle and 100% operable. The original rear lights are mounted temporarily on a piece of angle steel and are also operable.

All door rubber seals and the window seals are in great condition to protect the interior from dust and weather.
Clear plastic protects the rear seats.

The headliner of the extra high roof features multiple zippers to access various spots for cable routing.

A Radio with, USB chargers and a 12V cigarette Adapter is in the dashboard.

The entire floor is covered by a gray floor liner in excellent condition to dampen the engine and road noise and to protect the floor boards.

Two new 12V batteries were installed to power the 12V electrical system.

A new set of black Toyota OEM side mirrors left and right can be installed on the doors, I already have them .

Manual window cranks operate smoothly.

Over all this vehicle is in almost new condition, zero rust, she drives strong and sounds so healthy.

It still has the original diesle fuel tank connected, I have a brand new tank, which will be provided at no extra cost if desired.

I have a new set of black rear fenders that I need to install or if you wish to install the original red round fenders, I can provide them.

I have installed an Australian UTE by Mits Alloy. It is all Aluminum, welded, not screwed or riveted for years of abuse without rattling. The sides can be removed to use it as a flatbed. The tray features a headache bar with built in spare tire mount. In the front of the tray is a built in water tank, I think it’s 40 liters, need to confirm. Underneath the tray in the back is a pull out drawer on rollers for extra tools or recovery equipment. An additional hoop is installed on the back of the tray, ideal for carrying surf boards or lumber.

We purchased “Fuego” with the dream to convert her into the ultimate 4x4 farm vehicle. A very unexpected business opportunity brings us to Costa Rica and their very strict import regulations make it impossible to import a RHD vehicle. Long story short, we have absolutely no use for this vehicle.
We are pretty gutted to have to part with this vehicle and hope that someone will finish the project.
You really can’t buy trucks like this anymore. This one is pretty much new old stock. Very simple and reliable technology that is field serviceable. Very few electronics to break!

Feel free to reach out with questions! If the vehicle is posted, it's available! $45.000

They are not the best pictures, I just snapped them in my shop. Let me know if this is sufficient.

I guess I can only attach five pictures. If you DM me your email, I can send you more. Or if you know a way to attach more.

Thanks! Such an awesome truck. I'd honestly be very interested, but alas, these damn 70 series high rooflines (especially in the Japanese firetrucks) are the bane of my existence as they all barely exceed the height of my garage (82").

While I'd prefer a Troopy or a double cab truck like this one, I'm starting to resign myself to a 77 or 76 due to the lower height.

Good luck with the sale.

Ha! You are in luck! I also have a
1990 FJ75 Troopy for sale! It's from Oman, no rust, super solid! I bought it in January to turn it into an adventure car, but it also has to go due to my move. $25K

No. Not yet. I am rebuilding the cooling system, then I'll list it officially. These are the only pics I have right now, from when it was delivered.

Awesome. Let me know when you list it. I'd love to learn more. A few questions for the moment:

-diesel or petrol?
-height?
-dual fuel tanks?
-front facing 2nd row?
It's a 3F Engine, so petrol
It's a Troopy, not lifted yet with normal tires, so it'll depend on your garage. :) Or maybe you need a bigger garage. :)
Single fuel tank
Just front row seats. Driver and passenger bench.

Most importantly, it's from Oman, so it's Left Hand Drive!!

I replaced all hoses, thermostat, thermostat housing, spark plugs, I'll do an oil change, new coolant, new (used and not cracked) dash pad, New oil coolant lines, new belts,... I think I have it all and will put it back together next week when I am home again.
Previous owner redid the headliner and there is a new floor mat covering the whole floor in the back.

Cool. Thanks for the quick reply.

Thank you for sharing. They are 16” steel. I’ll have to look up the brand. They’re brand new.
