As stated I have a STOCK 1992 4Runner (V6 4x4) Dark Gray Metallic/Gray interior that has just started running rough and is due for registration and won't pass smog. 257,703 miles. Recently diagnosed with low compression (30psi) in #3 cylinder... all others are at 150psi. $1750/OBO

I'm the second owner and have had this since July 1995. I have EVERY receipt since I've owned it and receipts and the window sticker from the original owner. It got a new long block from Toyota in 97 (@76k) in their head gasket campaign and then had a valve job by Toyota in 02 (@176k). Never abused and no off-roading except for a few dirt road trips to Mexico. Loaned it to a family member who drove with the Check Engine light on and... well, now it has low compression in #3.

New 31" BFG A/T's with approx 500 miles on them. Clean truck, well maintained with a few normal wear items for it's age (driver seat worn/ cracked dash/small rust bubbles in door jamb/roof) and a few mechanical items that could be fixed to make it perfect (CV boots/oil leak). Everything works. This has been an extra car for the last few years and I hate to see it get crushed by the state as a gross polluter so I'm trying MUD first then on to Craigslist. Will be in DMV non-op status soon.

Please email any questions, etc.

X2 I'm in the middle of a 3.0 rebuild myself right now, using a combination of engbuilder.com rebuild kit (pistons, rings, all gaskets and bearings and oil pump for <$300) and cruiserdan I'll have a brand new engine for around a grand including full machine work (cylinders honed, block decked, full valve job and cylnder heads resurfaced). Some one could have a great rig for cheap. I'm almost tempted but the S.O. would murder me if I put another engine on the stand right after finishing this one. Good luck.
