1992 Fj80 in Utah
***SOLD***I just bought a 97’ FZJ80, so it’s time to sell the 92’. This has been a great truck and it runs really well. It has the Old Man Emu “J” series 5” lift, and I have been amazed at how well it handles. It has lots of flex off road, but very nice OEM handling on road as well. Slee Dual cardon front drive shaft - No vibrations. 33 x 12.50 R15 Mud terrain tires with plenty of tread left. 15X8 Black rock crawler wheels. Spare tire relocation mod for added clearance. Still has third row seats with seat belts for 8 people!
Power moon roof, power windows, door locks, all work.
I Recently changed air filter, spark plugs, cap, rotor& plug wires. The old plugs were all in great shape. No signs of fouling, or high temps. It doesn’t smoke. The odometer reads 307K. I can’t verify it, but I think the previous owner must have rebuilt or replaced the original motor (see compression test results below). The guy I bought it from thought the same thing. I can’t account for how well it runs otherwise. Either that, or this vehicle is a real testament to Toyota quality.
Transmission functions properly. It shifts into 4-wheel drive low without any problem. Center locking differential is a fantastic option. I love it. Works great. Front end recently rebuilt. Optima yellow top battery. Wired for rear mounted power inverter. Alpine CD player. Front door speakers updated. A/C blows super cold and has been updated to R134a. I added a cup holder for the passenger. I have taken it on long trips, and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.
It has some minor cosmetic issues, the worst being a small dent in the drivers side quarter panel under the tail light. The passenger side fender flares are primered and need to be squirted. The rest, scratches, dings, stains, etc. are commensurate for the age/mileage of the truck. Overall it is in great shape
I think $3500 is a fair price. Truck is located in St.George, Utah. Let me know if you have any questions.
