The truck remains, as stated, "no caveats." There is nothing found to date that is not proper or needs specific/ immeadiate attention ( that hasn't been handled.) I firmly believe it is the cleanest low miles truck you can find anywhere near this price without pulling it out of a barn as a 1st tier discovery yourself. I do not mean to be flippant or dismissive, but my next move is a proper detailing, scenic DSLR photography, and a more top dollar listing on the 'ebay' I am happy to answer further direct inquiries, and will continue to sort out any logistics with those currently discussing. I am not likely to put much effort into the thread from here.
- As an indicaiton of the level of "no significant issues" the priorities have been:
1.)new wipers
2.)new rear hatch shocks.
3.) I replaced 5 plastic clips on the tailgate and hood seal ( combined)
4.)replaced rubber brake light switch bumper.
5.) Cruiser corps dashboard cover. Currently sitting on dash not adhered.
The a/c was cool enough to ride windows up for 40 mins on an 85 degree day, and rode an hour in the rain without fogging or even having to use the defrost setting. I consider that working.
The jack and tools appear untouched in the proper location ( I didn't open the bag yet)
All 4 windows work - the driver window didn't go up once. I double clicked and wiggled the switch and assumed I would have to mess with it when I got home. It sat at work all day and then It worked the next time I drove the truck and has worked for 7 full ups and downs since. No real action, yet no real problem- yet.
No leaks/ drips observed- certainly film and residue on parts, but nothing on the radar for "leaks" No fluids have needed a top off or have changed level.
I haven't tried heaters- it's AUGUST.
Radio was static and I turned it off without even trying to tune and haven't touched it since. I found some cassettes but they haven't made it to the truck. REO SPEEDWAGON here we come!!!
Paint- top surface (Hood roof, left fender top) clear coat missing/ peeling/ deteriation It adds to the charm, but seriously a lot better than overage for an original unpainted truck in my experiece.
