i have a problem i have a 1990 4runner with an automatic transmission and am having trouble getting a 3" body lift. i dont want to do any serious mudding i just want to take it to the beach and maybe drive on the sand from time to time..i would like to put 33's or 35's on it to give it a better look..do i even need the body lift for the 33's? does anyone know w here to find a body lift with the shifter bracket? please let me know asap..thanks for ur help

That took 2 minutes

Performance Accessories Part 5513M - Body Lift Kit

It's listed for a manual tranny but at most you would have to adjust your shifter linkage.

Personally I'd get a ball joint spacer lift waaay before getting a body lift. Big body lifts make the truck look dumb when the whole frame can bee seen.

i agree 3 inchs is a lot of b lift get balljoint spacers

where do i get these ball joint spacers and are they hard to put on..i am very mechanically inclined and can fix prety much anything..where can i get these from? will i be able to run 33's or 35's with them? is that all i am going to need to do? please let me know asap..thanks alot for ur help..this is my first 4wd

3" body lift is only good if you make it a flat belly by lifting the drive train also. For 33"s a 1" body lift will suffice but if your just driving on the beach why not just stick with 31"s?

Agreed, but if you do want a little extra height, I would go with a set of Ball Joint spacers and perhaps a 1" body lift if you still want some height.

Also, as I commented in one of your other posts, if you go to 33's with the automatic, you are going to definitely want to look into regearing to 5.29s to get some of your power back. The auto robs a lot of power from the engine and with 33's you will probably notice it feeling sluggish.

Just my $.02

I agree, my old '91 3.0 auto 4Runner was sluggish with 31's, if you go 33 or 35 inches you'll need to regear.
