I've already been through hell and back with my '85 FJ60. I can't believe I put so much money into that friggin' thing. But I can say this...I learned a lot about them. Talk about a learning curve $$$$$$
I always said never agian, unless...It's REALLY, REALLY clean.
This time I think I'll be alright, knock on wood.
The tranny fluid looks clean and smells... well, not burnt. Not really sure what it's supposed to smell like.
But I saw this '89 62 and had to check it out. I was primarily looking for rust... I knew exactly where to look from dealing with my 60. I have never seen a 60 series truck this clean in the Northeast. I actually thought it had been repainted. After looking closer I new it was original Alpine White. But...I know no matter how clean and how good it runs... there will always be issues. So that is why I started this thread.
Thanks for all the input.
