I guess 3rd time is the charm...

1989 Toyota FJ62 with H55

Engine
Stock 3FE 258,000 miles
Runs strong
Doesn’t burn oil
Only has one tiny leak
Recently (6 months ago) passed smog
New Magnaflow installed

Transmission
H55 Conversion with manual transfer case (used with about 150,000 miles)
Was able to get the transmission from an FJ60 that was converted
Got all parts, nuts and bolts and installed in my 62
Amazing upgrade
Much better gas mileage
Much more power
Rides great on the freeway and pulls up hills much better

Suspension
Old Man Emu 4 inch lift
Medium springs
Great lift handles the trails very well

Tires and wheels
33x12.5 Pro Comp All Terrain I would guess they have about 80% tread
Wheels are centerline look a likes 15x10

Body
Is in good shape
No dents
4x4 Labs Sliders
4x4 Labs Rear bumper
Made my own tire and gas can swing out

Interior
Fairly stock
Put in new carpet a year ago (had to patch where the old auto stick was)
Seats are good just a couple small tears in vinyl
Tuffy Box Center console with CD and ipod player
Over head console with LED lights and CB
GPS mounted in dash
New Windshield and seal just installed
New dash (just a plastic glue down dash cap, but it looks great)

I have enjoyed this 62 for several years. Never wheeled it very hard. I have been daily driving it for 2 years and it has not let me down. Don’t have to sell this one, but I thought I’d put it out there and see if there is any interest.

Asking $7,200.00 OBO I know there are a lot of factors involved in determining price. Happy to entertain reasonable offers. Just PM me if you are interested.

thanks

Thanks for the bump Jumpmaster. It is really a good 62 and I have enjoyed working on it over the years. The h55 swap has been a great upgrade.

Fellow Mudders... If you are in the market for a great FJ62 then look no further. I recently looked at this cruiser when I went to my sons graduation in San Diego. This is the an extremely clean solid cruiser that runs and drives great. GCorduan I found to be a veryknowledgble honest upfront guy that is a fellow cruiser enthusiast and was able to answer all my questions easily about the cruiser. If you are in the market for a good solid cruiser I would make the trip out and see the truck. I bet you wont regret it. Some my ask why I didnt buy the truck since I like it so much... The truth is I am stationed in AK with the military and will be going to school in AL for a few months followed by a move to TX. With all that said I wont be settled until later this year and would have to store it somewhere or ship it and it will be costly not to mention the expensive of our move anyways. If not for that I would buy it without question if I were already in TX. If you have any question I will answer them to the best of knowledge. Thanks and GLWS

No problem, what kind of MPG are you getting?

Sweeten the pot

I was going to hold on to the roof rack and sell to a friend. Adding to the sale if buyer is interested. My 62 with H55+Factory Service Manual+Roof rack= $7200.00

I built the rack a couple years ago. Used those gutter clamps from the tallow pot website. Kept it low profile so it would still fit in my garage, but could also have a good edge to strap things down with. Not powder coated just rattle can. Old picture with old set of Mickey Thompsons and before I did the 4x4 labs rear bumper. Roof rack is sitting in my garage.

Thanks for looking
