1989 FJ62 Factory battery size/group number? (1 Viewer)

Group 24 or 24F, or something else? I would like to stick with the battery group/size that came with it.

I just got one from my local Toyota Dealer, Group 27F, $136.95, same as my 200 (but opposite posts).

Picked up a Duracell group 27 from Sams for $81 on sale last week. Has 3 yr warranty. I tried to get a Toyota lifetime battery from the dealer but they don’t make that size.

Thanks - a good deal there. I confirmed with Interstate that Group 27 was the OEM-installed battery. A group 24 will fit (same height and width, but slightly shorter). Interstate was out of 'blems' (my usual choice) and they are now $71, so I will see what Sams/Walmart has. A group 24F does, indeed, have the posts reversed from a 24.

You can squeeze a Group 31 in there if but it takes some patience and love to make it fit.
