Figured I would post this up to see if there is any interest.
I'm bringing a 1988 HJ61 back from Europe (where I am currently stationed). The truck should be in Jacksonville, FL by the end of the month and will be registered/titled in Florida.
Long story short, the powers that be have changed my path and decided to send me to Key West, FL (bum deal in know
) and I won't have the time or garage space to give the truck a proper restoration.
For those who know, the Keys are not the best environment for vehicles prone to rust. I'm not too concerned as I don't plan on doing any body work there, but I feel this truck deserves better.
If someone is interested in getting a low mileage LHD 61 with a 12HT and H55 that needs some body work, please let me know via PM. I'm asking $9000 to cover what I've got invested. In October I will start replacing some normal wear items like brakes, tires etc.. as I get time and that would bump the cost.
If there is no interest I'll just keep it as my daily driver until I get an assignment where I can have a flippin garage again.
I'll post the few pics I have on hand and more when i pick it up at the end of the month (when I'll be returning stateside).
Open to possible trades for a high mileage diesel Ford or Dodge truck (I might need to tow a big boat
)
