SOLD!***UPDATE 4/1/13 **UPDATED PICS POSTED. The report shows small rust on both front fenders, paint fading or clear peeling on hood and rust on undercarriage in the front. To what extent not sure. I do know that my agent won't buy vehicles with extensive rust problems. Report shows that the truck runs great. All the JDM's I have seen and have had are NO WHERE near what comes from the North in regards to rust***

Should be coming in at the end of March to mid April and should not be later than first week of May. If someone is interested in this truck I can get with Japan and find out exactly. It may need to wait a few weeks do to production date. The truck has 160,000 miles, 257,600 KM's. 12HT, 5PD, A/C, PS, PB, PW, PL, sunroof etc. It appears to have had some or all the carpet removed (need to find out). Also has a primer spot on the left rear obviously from a small repair. Pre-sale $13,000 delivered to LA with CA title.

I'm looking for a serious prospective buyer. If you're interested in the truck, I can get more info and secure you first dibs for purchase. Those that know or have done business with me can attest, I'm a straight shooter and very easy to deal with. This is a hobby, let's have fun and get more of these over here!!

Appears to be a screaming deal for a CA. titled diesel. I'm guessing no cable lockers, or you would have mentioned it, right?

Not sure about the lockers. Sometimes we're able to check prior to sell. Other times it's a surprise. If it shows up with lockers... bonus:D

Interested

I was sent here by a friend because I'm looking for a solid diesel 60. From the looks of it there is no third row back there. Any way to confirm?

I'm not a car newb but I am a FJ newb. What is typically done with RHD cars? Are they left that way or converted?

Thanks,

Stephen

Also, feel free to email me steve (at) monovich dot com with answers.

Hi Stephen,

The back row is there, the rear headrest are visible. Not quite sure what you're asking in regards to what is done with them. The JDM market is right hand drive. When they arrive here there's nothing to convert. Driving a right hand vehicle is actually a breath of fresh air....something new/different. I've requested more pictures. If my agent has them or has access to the truck prior to loading then it won't be a problem. I am awaiting a reply and will update the post ASAP.

Thanks!

What about that small lever on the left side of the transmission?

The fact that the PTO box is there, but the winch is not, probably means it had lockers but may not now. Somebody went through some effort to remove the winch and frame extension. Odd they didn't want the gearbox too.

Stephen, because fj62's were available in the US, the parts to convert to LHD are available and not too difficult to find. I have seen salvage 62's sell for $500. That's a fairly big project, but since I know you did a motor swap before, not outside your skills.

CA Smog

Can this truck pass CA 2013 smog? being a diesel and imported. How difficult is it?

That's the beauty of it. Pre 97 diesels...no smog. Another reason why we've been waiting patiently for these to age so we can finally enjoy no restrictions :-)

Outstanding observation. I would speculate that even if the cable locker levers are present that maybe the actual lockers may not be... To say that, that would suck would be putting it mildly.

The black one that just sold did have a PTO winch (removed over there), but no lockers...ever. Might not be able to confirm yay or nay until it lands :-( Not sure what the option combinations were are for these.

160,000km or miles?
