I would say that there is a way to do it as I know of at least 4, 1987 and newer, 70 series vehicles registered in Cali. now but, I am not sure of how to do it or the laws there, and don't want to get into it here...

There used to be a bunch of loopholes and ways to get it done. In the last two years they have clamped down very hard. What's done is done.

The only chance is that it would be coming from MX, since it's North America, but the steering wheel on the right is pretty hard to hide.

Awesome rig. GLWS. Any state other than CA...

RHD

I don't know about new laws. It is 25 years old, US title. Past 5 times imported back up/in from Mexico, and never any problems at customs.
No worries, this truck will be here for the one with the cash.
Fly on the 18th to pick up new motorcycle, ride back to Baja.
Good luck, hope it goes to a IH8MUD/TLCA member!

You're dreaming. CARB will not allow you to register a JDM vehicle here that is not pre-'76.

Cali is not the center of the universe. In most States, diesels are exempt from emissions inspection. CARB is irrelevant.

As I said above, whoever said that this will be an issue is incorrect. Cali doesn't care about diesel emissions for vehicles older than 97.

goodies

Gonna throw in some spare parts-new hose set for cooling system, VSV shut off 24 v, valve cover gasket, newer 60" Hi-lift jack, ARB MT45 tri voltage freezer fridge., new shower pump/head, 5 stock chrome rims with BFG 33" tires on them, 4 stock leaf springs, couple snorkel head/pre filters, rear seat, etc... $22,500 or no fridge/jack for $21,500
Has normal small surface rust on wheel well lip r/side.
Rock solid travel/exp. rig.
Take off the top for the summer!

That can be sanded and painted.
Somebody buy this, I look at importing other cruisers and I see a locked bj74 come up about once a year. And it will not be remotely close to as nice as this. You just can't get them anymore.
