The time has come to sell my project. I've owned the truck for just under 10 years now and really don't want to sell, but... wife and I have decided to move to Puerto Rico. I used it as a daily driver to and from Denver from 40 minutes into the mountains for years . Never won any races up the mountain passes, but never me stranded either. It's been driven maybe..1000 miles in the last 2 years mostly exploring N New Mexico mountains.
It's parked at my in-laws mini ranch in Elizabeth, CO. Over the past month we've had some decent snow fall (mostly snow drifting) and have had the chance to romp around using the 4x. Shifts in and out smoothly and has been the go to vehicle to pull vehicles out of ditches lately.
- 231k on original desmogged motor.
- Weber 38 carb and TriMil headers that have been cleaned up and painted this past fall
- New 2.5" exhaust from headers back. Cat delete pipe...for testing purposes of course.
- HEI distro. Changed out the plugs and wires 2 years ago
- Saginaw steering conversion using ManAFre adapter
- Knuckles rebuilt last fall. New bearings, felts, etc. Birfs looked great
- New outer tie rod ends, rotors, and pads
- 31" BFG K/O2's with maybe 1000 miles on them
- OME lift with adjustable Rancho shocks
- Rebuilt starter last spring thinking it was going out, but i think the ring gear has a few missing or rounded over teeth causing an occasional grind.
- A/C and heat work great
- Windshield and the rest of the glass is perfect. Installed rear Aussie slider windows a few years ago.
- Replaced a few of the window regulators last year..all work smoothly.
- JVC stereo w/ aux inputs and some decent speakers front and back.
- Interior has original carpet and all original paneling in good shape. Has the original jack and tool set too.
- The dash cap is cracked and the driver's seat is torn...badly
- The roof and drip rails look great
- The rear quarter panels don't look great.. rust and the clear coat is peeling and in some areas gone.
- I climbed under and cleaned the frame up this past summer...no rust issues that i could see.
- She has a slow leak from what i think is either the rear main or oil pan gasket. i bought replacements for both, but doubt I'll get a chance to install them...Included in sale
