Updated. I plan to order the shackle parts for the rear hanger, front sloped hanger, and the banana shackles for the front. I have been reading up on the rears up front. It looks like the front axle will move about 2" forward because the rear springs are not symmetrical. Which is no big deal. I now understand why everyone is moving their IFS boxes so far forward.

This is what I'm thinking on the springs. We were looking at a 40 that they are working on at ACC. They basically did the same thing I am doing by putting a longer spring on the back. Instead of moving the hanger back, they just put an extended shackle on it and it sits back at a pretty extreme angle. There is still plenty of uptravel and TONS of down travel apparently. Thoughts, critizisms, comments from the peanut gallery?

Sam, I guessed I missed this thread as I don't prowl around this section of the forum much. For a epically slow build thread it sure is epic. Damn you have done a lot of work to that truck.

has to get tubes in her ears to hopefully fix all the ear infections. I'll be back and forth to the doc all week that week.

I feel your pain brother. I keep looking at the list of things to do and how much I am going to have cram into each work day. Every day I miss is more per day I have to get done. I feel like it's going to be a mad dash around the end of April.
Anyway, I'm sure the little one will be fine. We are just trying to be proactive. She's had about 1 ear infection for every month she has been on this earth.
So, she has also been on every antibiotic she can take. They always mess her up and also will make her body build up an immunity if she takes too much. Which is obviously bad because then they can't be used to treat her in the future if she needs them.

How many times a year does she get them? Our doc said anything over 5/yr (iirc)is a concern.

Waaaaaaaaayyyy more than 5 a year. She is only 9 months old and I have literally lost count. She has them so often that sometimes we don't even know. I took her to the doc the other day for her 9 month and she had one. Didn't have any signs of trouble or complaining. She was sick yesterday so my wife picked her up from daycare and took her to the doc (she had a high fever) and she has them in both ears!! It's so frustrating because I don't want her to feel bad and I know it has to be hard on her. We are def going to need tubes. She is supposed to have her doc appointment to get cleared to have the tubes put in on Monday but if she's not better they will have to reschedule.
Wow thats not good at all. I hope everything goes well. I hate to see kids suffer especially around the holidays when they're supposed to be having fun! Best wishes to your ohana Sam.

Thanks. We took her to the ENT center yesterday and they did all her pre-op. They explained the surgery and gave us all the details. They basically poke a tiny hole in her eardrum (sounds worse than it is) and insert the tube. The tube helps to equalize pressure in the inner and outer ear. We found out that NOT putting the tubes in can actually result in hearing and speech problems. So, I'm even more glad that we are doing it. She got cleared for surgery this morning by her regualr doc and is having the surgery on Friday. They do them by age and since she's only 10 months she should be one of the first ones. They start at 6:30 so I'm sure we'll have to be there early. The actual procedure only takes a couple of minutes and then we just have to hang out in recovery until she is fully out of the anesthesia. The doc said by the afternoon Friday she will be back to her usual self, playing and whatever. So we should be fine. I'll give an update afterwards just so everyone knows she's ok.
I appreciate all the concern. This is such a great community and the support is always awesome.
Wow thats good news. Its probably best that its done at a younger age when they can recover quicker and arent really afraid yet of whats going on.

Totally off topic but I find myself spending more and more time in the hradcore section... Maybe one of these days I'll build a truck like that... 
If you want Hardcore check out Pirate4x4. I blame pirate 100% for my 40 looking the way it does.

I think at this point that would be a bad idea. I need to "finish" what I'm working on now before tackling something else. Also, the next two vehicles on the list are family wheelers so I need to do something with those before I get too crazy.
I'm thinking something ridiculous though. Like a pig or Troopy with a diesel and some crazy axles.
