I am still planning on driving down after work Thursday the 10th. I am planning on staying Friday and Saturday. Look forward to seeing the progress in person and checking out the ACC operation.

I wish:bang:
No, just going to repair the wiring harness and eliminate the egr and pairs.

I will be inquiring about the power stroke and rockwells though.

I have a feeling that by the time I get the Rockwells and powerstroke that I will be able to send the pics with a holograph or telepathicaly. ;)

I plan to be there all day on Saturday. Got a lot to get done and not a lot of time to do it.

Just a bump, this thread stayed at the top for sooo long that I didn't want it to start getting a complex by dropping too far :grinpimp:

Haha. Sounds like you're saying "Hey this thread hasn't been updated with any substance in a long time. Get to work!"

For all those that have been following and patiently waiting for an update, I am going to work on the truck this weekend. I'll try to document and get as many pics as possible.

Received a package from Expedition Lighting this morning! It's the 2x2 LED lights I bought on the group buy from Nick! So, if I have time, I might try to get those put in this weekend while I'm up at the shop.

Nah, just horsin' around. Believe me I understand how hard it is to juggle work, projects and a new young'un. The thread is called "Especially Slow Style" so in actuality you are right on time.

Where are you going to mount the lights at? Are they going up front or will they serve back-up duty?

Up front for sure. I was thinking about mounting them to the crossmember on the front of the rad support for now. Since I don't have a bumper and all. :hillbilly:

Work day tomorrow. I hope to at least have the springs mounted up front and rear. I am going to have to do something with the shift linkage to be able to move it around. The axle is going to move forward so the push pull will be all out of geometry. I might just cut the bar down for now. We'll see. Next on the list to purchase is hi steer. :steer: Depending on how long it takes me to get that done, I might go ahead and wire the LEDs in. I think I'm just going to wire them into the high beam circuit. It's already fused and wiring is already there. I don't drive it on the road either so it's not like I have to worry about it being street legal. :D

Good luck. I was planning on doing some tomorrow myself but I felt like poop today and we will see how I feel tomorrow.

Will be looking for crappy cell phone pictures if you get time. Tell Matt I said Hi if you see him.

Unfortunately, Matt wasn't able to come jynx. I'm sure I'll see him down there at some point. He's still gotta come fix his junk.

So I was able to get the rear springs mounted. I found out AFTER I started (of course) that the bushings are sleeved on the Taco springs and therefor require a much smaller bolt. :bang: So the nice fancy greasable bolts I ordered of course were not going to work for the spring side. Anyway, the bolts I had ordered for the front fit so I am just going to cut a sleeve down and put it in the hole in the shackle to take up the slack. Still quite a ways to go for them to be finished. They are mounted and hangers are tacked on. Sorry for the lack of pics. My phone died and I didn't have my camera with me. Also, I was in a hurry towards the end. I needed to get the truck where it could at least roll so they could move it if needed.

PICS!!!

I'll have to get some pics of how it sits next time I go up. I gained roughly 2 inches based on my before and after measurements. I think it's going to be super flexy though. I am going to have plenty of travel in both directions.

Nice work Sam, it looks good.

I am very disappointed but glad I cancelled this weekend. WOW! Did I feel like dog meat thurs. Night and fri. I guess it might have been a quick bug because I was starting to feel better Saturday morning and was wishing I was at ACC. Not sure I could have made the drive Thursday after work. It would have been dangerous.

I will get there soon though. Keep up the good work.

BTW: I am going to put a short list of parts I need priced for my Tacoma. A couple of options I want to add. I will send them via email since you don't answer your phone any longer:rolleyes:;)

Yeah sorry man. The only way to get me these days is to call my cell. I'm just crazy busy. I do check my email during the day as well.

Tentative Deadline is April 20th, 2013

Man how the time flies. Not sure how many of you know but I took a new position at work so I have been SUPER busy. I need to get my high steer ordered so I can get up there and start working on the front springs. I would be able to go ahead and get them mounted and everything but the truck will not be drivable until I get the high steer. It's just easier to do it all at the same time. Even if I don't get the high steer in time I will probably go ahead and go up. I need to get the LEDs installed and wired and install my hi lift mount. Also, I still need to pull the shackles off so I can sleeve them for the smaller bolts.

I am hoping that I can get the springs/high steer/shocks sorted out in the next couple of visits. I really need to get to work on the trans and doublers soon. I want to be able to go for at least one test run before I get to GSMTR. That way if anything breaks or isn't working I will have time to fix it. The last run before GSMTR (by the local club) is April 20th. That is going to be my new tentative deadline.

Anybody have an extra IFS box they want to part with? (I'm looking at you KLF )
