So, the surgery went great! The whole procedure only took about 10 minutes. Kady was crying a lot when she was waking up from the anesthesia but that's normal. We're all back home now and she's acting like nothing ever happened. The doc said we should be able to see a difference in her hearing and behavior by this afternoon. I'll report back and let you guys know.

Now, just waiting on some mini truck parts...

Glad to hear it!

Sam,

I am glad that everything went well this morning. Will look for updates over the weekend.

As far as the truck goes, you better stay away from those hardcore threads or before long you will be shoe-horning a fire breathing V8 in there and have rockwells in the shop floor. :-)

That's what I'm afraid of! I think I'm content with the mini the way it is now. There's always the future though...

Glad everything went well. Kids are tougher than adults imo. Merry Christmas to you and the family Sam!

I vote for the V-8 and rock wells, trail 4 will be a distant memory. :steer:

Ha! Not on this truck! I strongly believe that with the springs, 5 speed, and duals, trail 4 is going down... I was reading the other night that a guy with basically the same setup I am going to have was running 38.5s. I don't think tire clearance will be a problem anymore. And then I won't have to worry about dragging my diffs, driveshafts, etc all over the rocks.

I have ideas swirling right now of a Troopy with rockwells and a 6bt tuned up to 400 hp and 800 lb/ft! Would be an awesome tow rig... It will be sometime in the distant future tho. Right now I'm looking at an 08-09 4Runner 4WD V8 for the wifey and an 06-07 100 series for me. :D

I have no doubt that trail 4 will go down sooner rather than later.

The troopy idea sound fantastic. Tow rig, two wheeling rigs and a couple of cool azz truck all in one package.

I vote the rockwells go under the hundy! Modern comfort and convenience with the brute strength to go anywhere. Just sayin', if we are throwing ideas out.

And I knew we would turn you to the dark side (LC's that is) it was only a matter of time.

I dream about a 7.3 power stroke and rockwells in my 80.

I wonder if the ACC guys could manage that?

Yep, I am sure they would be glad to take on the challenge.

Man rockwells under a hundy would be sick! I think the 4runner and hundy are going to stay mild (camping/overland/mild wheeling style) tho. I want to be able to take the family out to camp, wheel, and have some fun and be able to drive home.

And I'm confident with enough time and $$ ACC could literally do anything you want. V8 moped anyone?

BTW jynx, I've wanted a cruiser for a while. I just haven't been able to decide what I want. :D

I am totally confident the ACC crew could do a V-8 power stroke and rockwells under my next 80. What I am not sure about is where I would live for the next decade after dropping the $. :bang:

I guess I could live in the 80 that I have now.

Just build a sleeping platform in the back of the 80. Problem solved!

I updated the list because I realized I left off the 29th for whatever reason. I am supposed to be off though. If I have any parts here by then I might go and try to at least get my springs mounted. I also ordered some mirrors since I have ZERO mirrors on there right now. I know I don't HAVE to have them but it makes it easier if I'm doing a 42 point turn (like I did on trail 4...) or when we are going from trail to trail. I'll go ahead and slap those on when I go up next time. Nick is not shipping the LEDs until January so I'll do those another time when I go up. The extended brake lines I ordered also haven't shipped yet.... Not sure why on those...

Hey! Ask and you shall receive, right? Just showed up in the mail... To say these are beefy or stout is a MASSIVE understatement. I am extremely impressed with the quality of these.

Now I'm just waiting on the stuff for the rears. :bounce:

Well, my rear shackle parts and sloped spring hangers were supposed to show up yesterday but were delayed by bad weather. Oh well, now I have to wait til Wednesday. I won't be able to go up again until the 12th. Maybe I'll have my lights by then! :D
