Professional Restoration by Terra Cruisers completed 2016, less than 200 miles since! These guys do it right, complete disassembly of body, frame, engine, trans, differentials, electrical, suspension, interior, brake system, and every nut & bolt...Then they rebuild every component to better than factory specs. The result is a major step above most "restored" vehicles...It's a perfect rebuild to better than factory!
Ordered in classic Olive brown, with brown interior, this hardtop FJ was converted from a canvas side to all steel with sliding windows... The result, no leaky canvas, and increased body strength.
Here is the link showing the progress of the restoration of FJ60286 completed last year: FJ-43 number 60286

Shortly after purchasing for 50 grand, the owner added the optional hub caps, a box hitch, and changed the strips to a more conservative, period correct look. Complete with factory repair manual, maintenance manual, tool kit, emergency light, jack, and spare. $37,500. Several recent pics below:

Amazing!

I don't think there was a US version FJ-43.

This rig looks awesome with the old school stripes!

looks as good as a 200k fj company one....

Beautiful!

Yes very beautiful but,

I can be wrong that this is the FJ43 that they mutilated to be a permanent station wagon by welding the hard top fixed on it.

^^^The way it is written up made me wonder. I almost asked but thought it one of the stupidest questions I could ask since welding the top to the body would be one of the stupidest things someone could do.

If it has been done, I wonder how hard it would be to reverse.

That could be a massive goat rope. Imagine what they chopped before welding...yikes.

One would think the upper part of the tub must have been clowned up to cause them to decide to "increase the body strength".

What's the downside to the imports? There is one for sale near me for $38k.

The down side to this rig is TS removable top has been permanently welded in-place.
