$16,500 1977 ORIGINAL FJ40 LANDCRUISER - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... - https://helena.craigslist.org/cto/d/helena-1977-original-fj40-landcruiser/7475145185.html
not mine
The FJ40 is a really fun rig to drive around. It is a true 4WD vehicle and will climb anywhere you go. Folks give you the thumbs up in town too! This Landcruiser has not been altered from the original. It has 99,270 miles on it as best as I can determine. I have had it for about 10 years. There are receipts going back to the beginning. I have made a few updates to it, such as an aftermarket rear heater, advance distributor, removed the EGR system. I have kept all of the original parts and components. I drive it occasionally to work, and a bit hunting and driving the backroads. It runs pretty good and can be driven daily. It has the typical fj rust areas, less than most. I have a white soft top including the frame and doors and have never had them on it. It has a warn winch up front and yakima roof rack on top. When I first got it I removed the gas tank and cleaned it, replaced all fuel lines, vacuum hoses and heater hoses. Installed a remanufactured radiator, water pump, thermostat, belts, advance distributor, plugs and wires, had the carburetor rebuilt, removed the emission stuff. Had new greaseable shackles, ball joints and steering joints installed.
