1976 FJ40 For Sale! MUST SEE!

Please forward this info to any friends that you know that might have an interest. I have owned the Cruiser for 20 years and have done ALL the work personally. Garage kept. It is not a trailer queen. It is a hard-core rock climbing Land Cruiser. Purchased and originally restored in 1993. Taken apart, painted, and restored again in 2005. Cut apart rear fenders and bed and welded in new metal in 2012. The under-side of the floor as well as the inside of the bed and steel diamond plating were all recently repainted. This truck is extremely clean and well maintained. Contact owner Bill Baxter @ (757) 715-7617 or email: bbaxter@cox.net HERE IS A LINK TO THE COMPLETE PHOTO ALBUM:

FJ40 for sale

Yes Dave it is the same Cruiser and that was back in 1994. I attended 14 GSMTR's in a row. Life takes you on some unexpected journeys. My wife got ALS and died and I haven't been 4wheeling since. My beautiful Cruiser hasn't been on a trail in five years. I am happily remarried and we enjoy new hobbies together. We take 30 year old BMW's to the race track and enjoy running them. I have discovered that going really fast is just as much fun as going really slow. The old Cruiser is in really great condition. I have taken a lot of time to go through the whole truck and make sure everything is working right. It will be a fantastic Cruiser to someone who hopefully will love it as much as I do. Bill

Hi Bill, I'm sorry to hear about your wife, but am glad things are otherwise well. Like you, my hobbies are evolving and I rarely go wheeling, too. Funny thing about the racing, my wife's boss is trying to recruit me into the same thing. Here we are this weekend:

Sorry for the highjack. It's a beautiful cruiser and if I wheeled more, I'd be interested. Good luck with the sale.

1976 Cruiser

Hi Dave. I would love to run some open wheel cars sometime. I am hoping to get some good response on the Cruiser on this site. So far it has been pretty sluggish. I am thinking i might need to list it on e-bay.

Sales are pretty competitive here, from what I've seen. If you're looking for the biggest buck, you probably will do better on ebay. Good luck with it.

This rig is sold to...me!!! Bill is a awesome guy and a man of his word (unlike some sellers I've encountered during my search). I think we both walked away with what we wanted to get out of the transaction. Can't wait to start wrenching on it to make it mine. Of course with 6" of snow on the ground and still falling fast, it could be a while. Feels good to be part of the TLC family.

Bill is an outstanding guy, you got everything you expected, I'm sure.
We wheeled together annually at the Great Smoky Mtn Trail Ride back in the mid-90s. Even when he was new, he was one of the best drivers I ever knew. And his rig was a top-notch sleeper. Nothing over the top, but everything worked and worked well. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
