I recently acquired a 76 model LC with maybe the original 4 speed. PO installed a 350 w/Advance Adapters conversion kit. It appears the top shifter housing is missing the opposing "pin" which helps to secure the shifter. Any suggestions on how to repair?
Thanks

before going further, I'd probably drain the oil out of the trans and see if it is worth doing anything to save what you have.

X2 on Spector kit if the oil looks good

Thanks "yotanut" for your help! SOR does indeed have a repair kit for this issue.

I would listen to @3_puppies. The condition of the opening and end of the shift cane looks nasty like it's been exposed to the elements. Just good maintenance would be change the oil. I would also worry about the piece of the pin that is missing. If it slipped down inside could play havoc inside the transmission.
