Cool old rig, chev 327 4spd trans. I've gone through the brakes and steering it's all sorted out. The underside is all rust free and solid. It would make someone a great truck. I would really prefer to swap this rig rather then sell it. I have too many long wheel base rigs and want a short wheel base rig. A 88in rover would be ideal.

I will get it in on a hoist today and get more pics. Doors are good as are all the crossmembers. The floors were wire brushed and POR-15ed no worries there. It's scheduled to get the Linex treatment this weekend on the inside and a fresh undercoating the first of next week.

Well I was really wanting to trade it for a swb 4x4. I think 6,000 if I were to sell. It would take about that much to get a cool replacement.

It was a California truck, It's got current tags now and I have been using it as a daily driver. We have gone on a few longer trips in it. 150 mi or so and many weekends spent in the hills local too. The conversion looks really clean and well placed. I am not sure on the mileage... It shows 37000 I would guess it made at least one lap around.

Yes, you are right, b/c that is when the 4Runners started, and I think there were a 'few 85 1/2 4Runners with solid front axle.

Would an '82 have the round front headlights? I like those better than the squares...
