Soooooo, this thing is 30 minutes from me and I already have one parts rig. My wife said "no" BUTTTTT, maybe I could convince her otherwise if maybe $300 of it was immediately recovered?? These are the only piss poor pictures of it. I need others interested before I make the trip there to see it. I just sent him a message to send me more pics.

You ought to be able to recover the cost of the purchase pretty easy. Axles, mirrors, steering wheel, emblems should about get you to the $600 mark.......

grab it- i will give ya $150 for the engine

Hell, I'll PAY you $150 PER engine just to get them out of here....

Bring a trailer, leave with a pocket full o' cash and more Fs-n-pigchit than any one man has right to store.

I'll even throw in an H15X bell housing and volunteer that organ you've expressed desire for........via a donor, 'cause that ain't my thing....;)

How many F155's u have ?

Sounds like more pics will come tomorrow. Was 74 a 4 speed or 3 speed? If it looks complete I'll probably run out there and pick it up.

74 could be either a 3 or 4 speed depending on what month is was produced.

Here's a couple pictures the guy sent me. I may go try to look at it this morning. He said he couldn't get the hood open due to rust so I don't know if that means that the cable is frozen or what. Anyway, if a salvage title rusty pig sounds good I will gladly buy it for someone but I think you guys are a little nuts. I bought my almost rust free pig for $800, if these things were worth something in resale I'd consider putting it back on the road but two things I would never look for in a project are salvage title and lots of rust. Anyway, if someone wants this thing whole it's all their's.

Well I pulled the t-tops outta my MR2-t and headed out there enjoying the sunny day and twisty roads.
This FJ55 has to be the biggest pile of crap I've ever seen. The guy bought it off ebay and shipped it here from North Carolina. He paid $7000 TOTAL to buy it and get it here!!!!!! He told me he got royally screwed and even with a lawsuit he was unlikely to actually recoup anything from it. The pictures on ebay were all Photoshopped and the guy told him there was almost no rust and it ran great. There is rust holes in EVERY body panel and the entire roof rail is rusted through. There are a few good pieces of trim and a few good pieces of glass. Most of the doors didn't close and several windows didn't roll up. Frame and drivetrain is surprisingly ok but it didn't run so I couldn't verify the condition of the engine, it does have a weber on it. Its a 3 speed and was built in Dec 73. Does have two glove box doors and they both have a 4 speed sticker although the guy swears its a 3 speed. Most of the switches and heater stuff looks good, no rear heater, drivers door mirror is intact but loose, passenger side mirror is cracked but with new glass could be ok. Front seat is ok, rear seat is ok but has a hole in one spot, does have 3 point seat belts for the front seats. All in all, maybe $200 worth of good parts and the rest is absolute garbage unless someone really wants a headache, I mean project. The one bright point is its not a salvage title, the guy said he put that on the ad because it has so much rust that it should be a salvage title.

That is a horrible story but after seeing the pictures... part it out! I have no idea who those guys were that suggested selling it as complete truck... I mean even the flywheel cover is rusted out! you would think it would have leaked enough oil on that to save it.

I could definitely use the mirror for my rig if you do decide to get it.

Also if that tailgate is complete I could use that as well.

Would the front bumper be available? I'd be interested if another one I'm trying to get doesn't come through.

And my understanding is that some of the '74 4 speeds had a "transition" gear in the t-case so you could have a 4 speed but the lower Low Range in the t-case that came on the 3 speeds?

Cage it and wheel it
