My friend decided to fix the paint scheme. Now it's back up for sale.

For this price the FJ better be perfect. I would put few extra $ to get it right with bazel, wheels and roof white. Purists will hated blue. Beside that a very nice JF GLWTS

At $55,000.00, I'd probably post a ton more pictures to include the undercarriage, dash, rear tub without the mat, front floors and some detailed engine bay images. Fifty-five grand is a ton of bucks and more than I'll be ever willing to spend; but that's me. Personally, any FJ I spent that kind of money on would have to be fully documented and supported by restoration images to include all metal work and complete component rebuild. I would also require correctly painted rims, roof and front bezel. I'd have to have a factory roll bar and probably AC for that price.

Not being too critical, just saying!

Very nice Fj40.

I’d agree with above. At that price point, I’d spend $ to flip bezel and paint it and the roof cap Cygnus White. Then I would paint the wheels gray, and pop hubcaps back on.

Or leave it Blue and sell it to a Kentucky fan!

-$25k for bezel upside down and painted wrong color along with the wheels.

Def need about 20 more pics here

I don't think you'll get anywhere close to $55,000.00 but several hundred dollars work of the proper paint color on the previously described parts should get you a bunch more customers interested. Good luck and although pics can be deceiving, it looks to be a nice FJ.

Mid 70's Land Cruisers don't typically bring this kind of money unless they are super accurate and like new. Had he restored a very early truck or a 81-83, he could more easily get that kind of money.

Is the color the original color? It may be Royal Blue (822), a Toyota color which was offered in 74, but I'm not sure. As mentioned earlier, he needs to correct the wheels (gray), top and headlight bezel (white) and flip the bezel too. I can't tell what's going on where the headliner meets the windshield frame but it looks like the rubber gasket that goes on top of the windshield frame may be missing. If so, you have to unbolt the top to install the gasket.

The truck looks nice! If he makes the needed corrections, he's going to be in much better position to get good offers. He will need 100+ photos uploaded to a photo site and video to market this truck correctly. GLWS!
