I used this kit from ebay and welded a short piece of tubbing and bought a piece of 3/4" nylon for amazon. done. you can use a belt sander to change or reshape the nylon.

Reminds of the old British cars whose aluminum panels were hammered formed on hard oak molds. But this is more amazing!
