Greetings to all,

I inherited a Chassis and Body repair manual when I bought my pair of Pigs.

I'd like to pass it along to someone who can use it.....it is listed in the 55 Classifieds.

If interested, please send me a message. Need to sell to help offset beer costs accumulated while working on my 55.

Thanks!

Dan

You have a good point. It was a 12-pack just to clean up the tailgate window assembly!

Definitely. The majority of the issues I have had is in the ground (the rest of the issues are related to the relay). My "master" ground on the buss board is run to the bolt securing the tailgate support......which is grounded to the chassis at the upper connection. So far, so good.

I've also run a direct positive to the key switch from the ancillary batteries with an in-line 15 amp breaker. It runs much smoother and quicker.......and I use the key 95% of the time to operate the tailgate glass (which I substituted with 1/4" Lexan). If I don't "time" the key turn-off correctly, the 15amp breaker will protect the motor.......and I placed the breaker near the rear passenger door for easy access to reset.

This system probably isn't ideal for everyone, but hopefully it will be optimal for long-term international travel.
