Got rid of the last of the blue interior bits the other day.
Pretended to be a seamstress.... tailor?.. and sewed the trim around the sun visors back in place. Painted the mounts white then did the gold/black paisley thing on the visors to match the dash pad. Turned out meh... but better than blue.
Painted the rearview mount gold for s***s too.

Picked up the first piece of the winter project puzzle. 2007 lq4 6.0, I grabbed a 2wd 4l60 from the same guy but I still need to go pick that up.
The Golden Helmet hauled it home without issue even though it was about 1/4 from the bump stops lol. Lucky I didn't have the 8" wide rims on there, tires would have been rubbing on the rear fenders pretty good. They just cleared with the 7"ers.

I guess I only used 3 bolts to hold the 5.3 way back when so I modified my engine stand a bit and now there's 4 bolts. Safety first and all that.

Been picking away at it after work this week and I finally broke a bolt. Its just one of the thermostat housing bolts, I'm throwing a new water pump on so I don't even have to deal with it.

*edit, after doing some reading I'm replacing the high flow oil pump for a regulat one.
