After taking things on and off 50 times we have bolt in top plates hacked out of an old tool box. Still have to throw a nutsert into one hole on each side and figure out if I'm keeping the factory support brace or making my own.
The stock side step supports were super flimsy after being cut down so I whipped up new ones yesterday. Just have to drill a few holes when everything's apart again. Also made up some fender braces for the repop rear fender.
Step 1, make up a concoction of coffee grounds, sugar, salt, pepper and of course a bit of cinnamon for sweetness. Step 2, put some isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle. Step 3, mist the panel with the alcohol then throw the concoction at it while being mindful of coverage and clumping. Step 3, paint over it all with your chosen shade of paint..
