1966 FJ45 Long Bed PU

I just purchased a very rough 1966 FJ45. 54,000 miles

The condition is pretty bad the pics will tell the story.
I'm looking for ideas on building this beauty.
I started a thead in the HardCore Corner, but since this is the Owners Club I figured I would post up in here too.

I should mention the frame is gone just past the rear axle, the floor in the cab and bed are both gone also.

I have a bunch of parts, 4 doors (2 of which I guess are special because the vent windows open forward "bug cathers" instead of back). 2 tops, an extra dash/cowl and extra tub section. The engine I guess is the original F with some parts that do not exist anymore?(so I was told) and trans/t-case

that vin tag is suspect, the #'s don't look correct and they are not in the correct location.

Well it matches the title and frame...
Granted it doesn't look like others I've seen...

I believe it says:
ID NO.
FJ4525694
Toyota
Motor Sales
Co Ltd.

I agree, that was what struck me. It looks a bit odd, perhaps an early replacement. As long as the frame numbers match the title, you are likely just fine. Keep the old one, and perhaps go with one of the Majojo or AATLAS1X repro plates if you want one which looks more like what we typically see bolted to the firewall.

Bigger fish to fry there with the Iron-Termites.

The frame is junk anyway, only half of it is there. I'm likely going with an 80 frame.
Will I be shunned For cutting this up? What is this old girl worth anyway?

Second is origin - I went to Tri-State for my Engineering Degree and to play football.

Lee, would this be Tri-State U. (now Trine) in Angola, IN? My father's alma mater for Engineering as well...

The carb on the motor has an unobtainium OEM float inside but the rest of the carb makes it a parts doner (missing the big window sight glass/trim ring).

Nick, yes you are correct, the very same Tri State in Angola. I'll never call it Trine though.
