Welcome back Matt... glad to see your trip was a success...

I was going to start working on my rig, but then decided not to because yours has new Matt Posts.

Did TreeRoot give you an LV sticker?

Thanks,

No, he had mailed a couple many months ago :)

Again sweet work! Nice jetskis too, love the ones that take some skill to ride, that won't sit there and let you clamber on without dumping you off. Just like so many Cruisers, not exactly a point-and-shoot operation. Too cool, I love it. That LV is gonna rock.

I'm partial to the stand ups also, don't really care much for the sit and spin stuff.

Been riding stand ups since I was a kid, like the ability to throw it around. :)

Sorry not to hijack but? Crusier guy and or anyone.. Is that green on that 55 the T-1028 spring green it looks a touch darker.. Would like the paint code #.. Still looking for color options myself.
Welcome back.. It's like reality Cruiser tv ..

My wife really liked that white on the 55 in the showroom. I asked the service manager if he could get me the code. He told me to email him when I get back and he would try?

My wife likes the continetal beige that I sprayed a while ago and had posted samples of. We never did find a white she liked, but this looks good.

I'll ask about the green also.

Wife and I last week out in the ocean at Oceanside, CA.

Didn't get any pics, but quite a few dolphins when we were out there playing around us about 50ft away.

i've had my superjet for about 10 years, have always lived in CA and have never had it in the ocean yet. what a dip****, huh?! looks like you guys had a great time. bet you're glad you stopped by and saw jonathan at TLC. they do some really nice work and have a lot of esoteric cruisers there, like that bandeirante 4 door.
did marv give you guys "the tour"?!

I moved out to CA in 94 and couldn't get my ski in the ocean fast enough. I had seen pics in mags and video, looked fun!! I live there for 2 years and was in the ocean almost daily year round every morning before work and on the weekends. I miss it a lot :frown:

Yes, very glad I stopped my TLC! Lot of nice stuff, had a little bit of sticker shock  when I saw the prices on there stuff, but I'm all for it if they can get it, more power to them. There service Manager took us on a tour of the place, nice guy and showed us a lot of stuff.

No tour at Spector, no Marv....no nothing. I did buy a headliner for my lv and the parts guy asked if we wanted to see the LV that they were working on. He just walked us back there and I got to look at it for quite a while and took some pics, but that was it. I was hoping to at least talk to Kay Spector since I had emailed her about the seat and panel covers they are making for the LV and making different colors. I had the wife look at the seat covers and door panels at SOR while we were they hoping she would warm up to those grey colors................She shot that down even quicker when she saw it in person  So....no other colors from Spector means I have make seat covers and panels myself. Wife's got a really good eye for color and if she doesn't like it, she's usually right.

Got home from work tonight and wanted to make sure I got something done this weekend, so I got a good 3.5 hours in tonight.

There were a bunch of holes in the front doors from some mirrors that wer on there at one time. They had pulled out and stretched the skin quite a bit in a few areas. I had to grind some out and make patches, the small ones I was able to spot weld shut and grind smooth.

After I got the doors welded up and ground down, then I mixed up a little epoxy primer. I sprayed the doors and the door jams on the body from the new latched I had put in.

Had some time so I figured I would tear into those new OEM fenders I got from Cruiserdan. That actually went really good. I was able to use the coolcruiser ones and use those as a template as where to cut into the new ones. I have to admit cutting into brand new OEM fenders kinda made my skin crawl. But, it needed to be done to fit around those motor mounts. All in all, no big deal and fit real nice. I still have to do some clean up around the cut area, but it is where it needs to be.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING  how well OEM fenders fit vs those crustycruisers of Texas ones do. If anyone out there is contemplating whether to spend the extra money for the OEM ones, do it!! Everything fit!!! No major pulling or pushing, grinding out holes, hammering, etc..... Everything pretty much lined up. The aprons fit the fender absolutely perfect, where the CCOT ones there were huge gaps. The entire front clip has to come ahead a tad, but I might wait until my body man buddy can take a look at it, it isn't going to need much. Very, Very happy I got those fenders now. :)

Probably put the door latches back in tomorrow and start grinding spot welds on the roof. I've been not looking forward to grinding those welds, but gotta be done.
