After six years I'm finally getting close with this 45. Ready for the muffler guy and finally get to start this truck for the first time. Don't know what would have happened if I had not taken a hundred pictures while taking it apart. Too many mod's to mention. Too many dollars to mention.

Looks fantastic. You had t4eased me with one shot of it in partial done state when you helped me out with some old photos awhile back. Man thats pretty. I hope mine comes out that well. More photos please!!! Lots and lots of photos please.....

Dang!

The "t-bird emblem" came by way of Butch Lewis after he listed it on Ebay.
Also have "Butch Built" power steering brackets and motor mounts along with countless hours of his insights. Cheers Butch!!!

Ilove that you kept the uncut tranny hump; wit what I presume is an automatic transmission. What calumn did you use? And i you happen to have a part number (or at least mesurements, like 32. vd 34" etc.), I would appreciate that too (I am torn between the Ididit and the flaming river ones). Love the wheel too.

Also, how tricky was it to relocate the pivot of the transfer case shifter (the hard linkage portion) when you went to an automatic?

Very nice, Sanitary, looks very simplistic but I am sure that is incorrect. Is the instrument panel LED?

I used the IDIDIT column and I think it was the 32". I have a box of receipts
that scares the hell out of me but I'll find out for sure. As for the transfer linkage. I built a simple "L" bracket and mounted it on the frame directly below
the linkage comming down from the firewall. Chewed on that one for a long time but ended up as a simple alteration. So far anyway.
I sent the cluster out to Dakota Digital.

Outstanding job, more pics please.

NICE!:smokin:

That is outstanding. Six years. Well I am on 1.5 years and am getting no where. I hope mine is half that nice.

I found the invoice for the Ididit column. I purchased the column from Centech
Wiring Co. along with the wiring harness I used. Their part number for the column is #i1333 and stated as a 33" column.

Now I remember who you are! You're THAT guy, the one that caused all the buzz when you bought that T-bird. That's when Gene and I started looking at repro-ing them.;)

IIRC, you got a pair of NOS corner glasses and weatherstrips from me for that sweetheart as well. Definitely a worthy cause.

Yeah, I'm THAT guy. Butch and I had a chuckle over that deal. At my expense of course. I musta bid just a bit more than the guy who didn't get it. I had it re-chromed just to make it that much more valuable. I remember now getting the corner glass and WS from you and maybe a couple of other items too. I'm jones'n to do another truck (long bed) or LV if you hear of any. Or one of those models that have already been restored.

Actually, although I was the only one who knew about it, I already had 20 cast in brass by the time this one sold. But it did give me an idea what repros might sell for.

Beautiful truck. You can tell just from the pics that you really took your time and did it right. That cluster is something else. Never seen that done before. Excellent job!
