Hi all,

Note, the FJ has been SOLD.

Well, the time has come to move my out my FJ. I just don't have the time to keep it going or get it in the shape I'd like, and it's not gonna get better with age. It's a total blast to drive, and I've learned a lot, and I hope to pick up another 40 at some point when I've got the garage space to do a full resto... though this is the perfect candidate for anyone with similar ambitions.

I am on Jim's list for a soft top, and you can buy it from me if it ever materializes.

Just a warning that if someone local buys it, they're going to have me checking in once in a while. I'll really miss this thing.

I'm located near Santa Monica, CA.

just bored at work..haha

Thanks! Yep, it is a nice older FJ. Perfect for someone who's looking for that kind of thing. I've gotten some interest from craigslist so far... we'll see!

Nice ride... right in line with what I would be looking for IF IT WASN'T ON THE WRONG COAST!!!!

Post up pics of the rust and the frame... make me spend time trying to figure out how to buy this....

Hey Mark,

I will take some shots tomorrow/Weds and post a link here. As I stated in the ad, it's a CA car, so when I say there's rust... it would be considered incredibly clean in most parts of the country. I've seen year-old cars in the mid-west that are WAY worse than this 47-yr old beast. The sill is the worst part and not looking great, but the frame is immaculate.

If what you're looking for is a mostly original older cruiser (I say "mostly" because of the missing jumpseats and respray, though an old and very high quality respray and it took me a while to be sure it wasn't original paint) to drive w/ patina or do full resto, I can say this is exactly what you're looking for. I'm pretty sure I'll be looking for another one exactly like this a few years down the road.

If there's any economical way to ship it x-country I'll work with you on that. When I bought it I had it shipped from Northern CA to SoCal for $300.

Does it come with the factory soft top doors

Yes, factory soft top doors included. However, the PO riveted some sheet metal on, but I'm sure you can pop the rivets out. Jim has said he's sending me some canvas along with my top to resto the doors.

7shulz,
Will send you some pics when I take them. I owe lots of people pics but I got a little delayed this week. Expect pictures sometime around the end of the weekend.

For the condition its in I would say your asking a very fair price...wish it were me buying it!
