Dropped them off with my new wheels at Goodyear. Price was $116.00 to have them mounted. Should be ready at 5.

I don't have a lift yet but hopefully they won't rub till the Bilsteins, 866s, TBs and diff drop get here.

Jason PM me your cell. I have a couple of questions re: our side project.

Bad news... Fronts are going to rub the rear of the front fender wells. I am going to crank the torsion bars to get to 1 inch of rake and see if that helps. Measuring from the top of rear wheel to fender is 12 1/2" on pass side and 12 1/8' on driver's. Both front measurements are 10 1/2". I hope going up an inch in the front helps.

Here is what they looked like when I picked them up

Here is one on the Hundy

And in there lies the rub...

OCD center caps...I think they look better without the caps but I wanted to try painting them without affecting the chrome logo. I saw another user do this on this forum.

I'll post a full shot when it is nice outside.

I'd like to thank everyone who contributed in helping me select this wheel/tire combo. I don't think I could have done any better. I can't wait for the lift components to get here...

Looks good. Lift or no lift, you're going to need to trim that plastic portion and knock the pinch weld down. Also, check the clearance between front UCA and tire sidewall.

As Hoser stated you will likely slightly contact the upper control arm at max turn to the inside. You can slightly loosen the turn stop bolt on the lower control arm to prevent the contact if it touches.

I also painted my center caps and left the sombrero yota symbol chrome with tedious trimming of painters tape with an exacto knife... i still wasn't completely satisfied with them so i re-sanded them and painted them again all over.

The ride is looking great though... Looks like my long lost brother...

I understand the plastic portion, and upper control arms but where is the pinch weld you are talking about?

The pinch weld is underneath that plastic cover you are referring to (you'll see it right away after you cut off the plastic)

Do they rub all the time? My Terras were fine until there was compression on the rubbing corner. Might be that the Trails are slightly larger OD with the knobs?

It's because the tire's width (295) is a rough measurement of the tires section width, not tread width. And MT's are typically more 'squared off' than AT's. Unfortunately, tread width is not listed by many manufacturers anymore.

They rub a little when braking going into a moderate turn (pulling into a gas station). I think they may be a tad bit wider that the Terras.

I agree

UPDATE: I drove on the highway for about 10 minutes today to check out the noise levels and I have to say that I am impressed. I tested from 55-85 Mph and these are barely louder that my old BFG AT/KOs. I was expecting them to ride a bit like those grooved slow-down areas on highways but there is barely any "hum" at all. The guys mounting them also noted how well balanced they were. On the balancer they showed no vertical movement and they took the smallest balancing weights that I've ever seen on a wheel.

Re: air pressure, Goodyear set them at 50 PSI. Is this in line with best practices? I read on the 80s section that a lot of people with 35s were running between 42-44 PSI for daily use.

...and finally. The weather cleared up enough for a full shot. Lift is next!

your rig looks awesome. The color, the bumper, the wheels, super cool.

Nice! Those guys should've put the the tire weights on the inside of your wheels. I guess I specifically asked for that when I got mine done. In any event you'll be find just driving around for awhile until the other suspension goodies arrive. Just don't drive it like you stole it and it won't rub much.

He can look on his sidewall for size in inches as well....Nitto Trail Grapplers have both sizes...metric and US on the sidewalls. Makes it easier than guessing... my 285x65x18 is 33x11.50x18 per sidewall.

I run mine around 44 in rear and 41 in front on highway...and around 22-24 on trail.

I still think the 33x11.5 is a relative (not an absolute) measurement. Knobs and tire shoulder design will make this number fuzzy.

I'm 44 F/R. Did you go with the 41 in F for a specific reason?

i agree on relative size..

Because on the door sill it lists the front at 3 pounds less than rear for my LX....so I always try to keep that ratio between front and rear no matter the pressure for proper handling.

No other reason...sometimes that is done to help give it a little understeer. My wifes 335i is very sensitive to tire pressure differences in its handling with the sport suspension and staggered tire sizes.
