I just came back from a 1700+ mi trip to northern New Mexico and thought I might post a few pictures for inspiring cool weather trips of your own (near Abiquiu, Espanola, Dixon, Embudo, all north of Santa Fe). I left tempe on Wed night and came back Sun night. This trip was a nice mix of sightseeing and family visiting. Homebase for the trip was a old restored ranch house (1920s ???) that my extended family was renting for the week, but my goal for everyday, all day was to drive the 40 as much as possibly (For someone that sometimes camps 50+ nights/yr for work and fun--this was a refreshing change). No issues with the cruiser whatsoever. Only complaint was not enough time to fish.

But first, a shakedown run in box canyon one month earlier proved the cruiser was healthy.
