Isn't there a 5 lug steel wheel out there (spare looking wheel) that will fit our 100? I sometimes see a 5 lug 16 on Craigslist.
If not what's a good looking aftermarket in 16?? I painted my OEM but I'm just not satisfied.

stealth custom series makes a nice 5 star.

F5 I wish I had gone this route instead of 03+ stock 18's powder coated. Everytime I hit the trail I scratch my wheels :bang:

oops, their not steel, my bad

I think there might have been 16" steel for tundra or tundra spares at one point. Its going to be tough to track down some take offs. But I bet someone makes them.

If you don't mind running very wide offset, there is a wide array of aftermarket 16" steel wheels for cheap. But you would be running about 0 offset probably. It's been done, but you might want fender flares. This guy is running 16 steelies with 0 offset in the video below.

Are you looking for OEM steels? Like these?

I don't think those two Tundra numbers crossed paths - 5-lug and 16". When the wheels were 16", they were 6-lug. Then, 5-lug and 18".

My wheels (and lots of guys here) are 18" Tundra take-offs...

18s are easy - any 5-lug Tundra wheel works. There are some 17" options out there also.

Tacomas are all going to be 6-lugs though.

And I need to look into SCS... I didn't think he did wheels in a 5-lug pattern.

They do look fantastic though.

Well what do ya know!

I like the 16" steel on the Canada rig, @gnarlynick2072

I have researched a bit and even though I have the SE flares on my truck and don't want to remove them due to the carnage I might find underneath I don't mind running a black steel wheel like a lot of Aussies do to help after a lift and also bring the rear track inline with the front.

Don't forget in Australia it seems it's illegal to run wheel spacers.

I've looked into some ProComp rims and such and almost anything that fits our lug pattern is zero offset so they are going to stick out about 2" or so. Then again your also going to be trimming something if your wanting a 285 like I want.

There are 16" steelies that look like the 18" Tundra wheels with the hole pattern. They aren't cheap, and they're only 6" wide.

Tire Survey - 100 Series

@Manhattan

How do you find the ride with the 18's. A bit less side wall than a 16"

Love your rig btw

Thanks @shibubba. I like the ride with the 18s. But admittedly, I don't know how the truck would fee with 16s. This is one of those "it's all relative" things. My wife's MDX has comparatively low-profile tires, and handles like a slot car compared to my 100. When I look at my tires/wheels, compared to most cars/trucks, they look meaty - like there's a lot of sidewall. But, when I look at my CJ with 15" wheels and 35s... not so much. Again, it's all relative. For a DD that sees the trails a few times each year, it seems like the right balance... for me.
