Done! I'd also like to know how many people would swap 16's for 18's or vise versa if money/availability wasn't an issue.

Thanks - great idea.

Surprised so many chose NTG...

In my opinion there are only 3 reasons to switch to 18's from 16's
1. To run a "skinny" 35" tire (285/75-18)
2. Run a big brake kit
3. If you really want to run a steel wheel, 18" Tundra steels are really all you can get in the U.S.

So far I haven't needed any of those. I'm happy with 16's", my only wish is to get 16" steel wheels.

I wish there were 16" steel wheels that looked like the 17" ones for the FJ and the 18" ones for the Tundra that fit the 100.

I also would not swap 16s for 18s. I would much rather have the sidewall. I also prefer the looks of more rubber sidewall rather than more rim.

If they made a 285/85R16 (35"), I'd certainly give it a try.

Same here. That would be my perfect size.

Survey completed.

Is done, I am surprised about the number with BFG AT, i would say that the higher number is for the nittos.
nice survey

I finished the survey as well.

Any chance that we will be able to see what others wrote in the 'Other' box for some of the questions?

Cool survey. Thanks!

I noticed somebody wrote Toyo M-55. Would love to see pictures of those on a 100 if you got them, who ever you are.

no-pistons, that was me. I haven't actually gotten them yet, but later this summer. I am going to do a write-up / analysis with pictures. I'll let you know when I do.

Sounds good, I look forward to seeing that. Those tires were one of my top choices. I ultimately chose the ST-MAXX over the M-55 due to the price.

There is one other reason: It looks oh-so much better :D

Toyota makes a steel wheel in a 16x6" with the 5 on 150 bolt patter for the HZJ79. Yooper is running them on his 79-series truck. He stated that the backspacing was much less than the 100 series wheels, and that 100 wheels wouldn't fit on his 79, but probably the reverse would work. This would also be nice with a narrower rim and narrower tires (less backspacing to widen the stance). He got them from Proffit's cruisers. Not sure on price and/or availability. No idea on center hole spec's, etc.

Just completed the survey. I'm surprised so many people chose 285/75/16 over 295/75/16. Any reasons?
