Looks great. So the big ??? How much did this build set you back? How many miles on your Hundy?
Yes, I am wondering this as well. My guess is the number is a little higher than what I just paid for my '04. :-)

Thanks.
Put on most of the miles the first few years I owned the truck, but between the semi-retirement and my office/studio being less than a mile from home has kept the mileage fairly low, as of today it has 134,000. In parts and stuff depending on how one looks at mods or restoration, I have spent somewhere between $12,000 and $ 14,000. On labor I don 't try to think about it because when you read about all of the talented DIY people here I feel a little guilty. But then again with my work and travel schedule it would never get done if I waited until I had the time to work on the truck.

Very tastefully done - one of the best looking around! The ONLY thing I'm not crazy about is the tail light guards. I've seen them cause more damage on impact than was likely without them, but they do look cool.

You're probably the only one I've seen here run the Rocky Road sliders and roof rack. How do you like them? They look really nice!

Thanks.

It's a gorgeous vehicle, sir. Well done, enjoy it!

I've been thinking about redoing my front leather driver seat. If you don't mind sharing, how much did the front leather set you back?

Thanks and I agree completely on the tail light guards, they are a leftover from the past just have not gotten around to taking them off.
So far the sliders seem well designed and very rugged, the rack on the other hand is a great concept that I wish was executed a little differently. I bought it mainly for that "grand expedition" where I want to carry two full size spares with neither being underneath, it comes with a built in mount, the only thing i am not sure about is the side to side adjustment screws were tapped in the the top and I think it would made more sense to locate them underneath the bracket. I am changing the bolts to stainless set screws to get a smoother look. other wise it seems super strong and well made.
One other small thing, since most of the stuff ˆbought came from either Slee or Rocky Road Outfitters, I found Slee to far more together in their communication. when I ordered the rack and sliders from Rocky Road and do not realize they are both made to order so they take a little longer to ship, not a problem, I was not in a hurry, but they never wrote that on their website or in an e-mail order update, it was not until I called did I found the expected delivery time. Don't get me wrong they were extremely pleasant to deal with they just seem a little less organized. On the other hand the Speski Barrier I got constant email updates as to where the made to order parts was in it construction.

The told me it would be about $750 for the fronts alone or $1300 for both front and back. Honestly they came out great, they did the headrest and arm rest as well, everyone who has seen them is impressed

Beautiful truck.. very nicely set up.. props to ya..

great build. How did you attach the shovel to your Hi Lift? I need to do something similar! I hit some rough roads when I'm in Mexico so I need it on there pretty solid.

Your cruiser is a thing of beauty. Love the build, great mods without loosing the original appeal of the 100.

Thanks,
At the moment it is cinched down with two straps and the handle is wedged in the foot and holder, if this does not work long time, I have a clamp system I may try as well

What nav and back up camera did you get? Can you post some pictures? I need to do the same and bring the 100s interior electronics closer to 2014.

Looks great, now go get it dirty!!!

So this summer I decided to go ahead and build up the Beast. Honestly looking back at these last few months I can see where maybe I could have made some other choices as i learned more, but I am happy with the way things turned out.
First thing I did was have some 285/75/16 BFG Mud Terraintires, an ARB Sahara bumper, Warn 9,5xp winch, Hella 4000I driving lights, ARB fog lights, Safari snorkel, Sleee Diff drop, SPC upper contol arms, Factor ProLink, Factor Hitch Link, and OME 2.5 medium suspension installed. My thoughts when ordered all of this was that was going to be it for awhile, but no I went back to the internet to order more stuff, including an ARB fridge and a whole bunch of recovery things

I had a Pioneer NEX 7000 put in, not sure on the name of the backup camera

The vignetting is from my homemade but hopefully soon to be replaced by a better designed lens hood to keep my back up from flaring

Well I know I keep saying that I am done but I keep adding. I promise photos once i get the truck back, Anyway I have added added Duiser Recovery Brackets on all four corners, much stronger and thicker than the stock ones, gives me recovery points on the front and back as well as small amount of armor in the back. This week they are finishing up on the instal of the IBS dual battery setup, with the running of a switchable dedicated line to the rear for the ARB fridge, adding next week the thread outlet for that line. Had the ARB diff and transfer case breather hose extensions added. The shield for the rear e diff switch mounted. And finally had the three Slee skid plates mounted. went with the aluminum for the front and middle ones, steel for the belly plate Ran into an issue with the belly plate. There is no way to mount it and keep the slider mounts, so we cut off some of the slider mounting plates and threw away the mounting bolts and back plates for the sliders and welded them to the frame. Makes them sort of permanent but a lot cleaner.

Wow that's a lot more added! Definitely one of the most complete and nicest builds I've seen. The only probably I see with it is that it's so pretty I'd be afraid to really use it to 100% of it's capability! Sounds like you have something that's ready for a multi-country expedition - how much vacation time do you have? :)

Thanks,
I assure you it will get dirty soon, as to vacation time, that I have quite a bit but do not seem to be able to use as much as I want. Hoping to slow down the work schedule in the next few years and use this truck for what I have built it for

thanks. it is a fun ride
