Is there such a thing as a quality rebuild kit in Aus for a 12ht...

Unless your buying genuine, there is diesel power and maybe a couple others.

Im not looking for just a standard rebuild kit.

Im looking for more along the lines of custom parts.

The best you will get is parts from Engines Australia. The standard parts are already considered fairly tough.
No one made or makes "custom" parts for 12HT.
They came in relatively small numbers and have been out of production for 25 years.

Can you get ACL for the 12ht?

My old man had ACL in his 1hdt 80 series, hasnt had any problems so far!

Might be a bit hard to get now since ACL have recently shut down I believe

No s***!? Had no idea. Wonder what sent them broke

Currency pressure as 80% was export and unions. Shut done June 30 this year.

I think ACL parts like bearings will be around for a while in suppliers stock lists. Sometimes parts sit around for decades.

Someone in the states has machined a couple custom offset cranks and big pistons for 12ht.

Ill have to go through all my messages on another site and find who the bloke in Qld with the 60s ute with these parts is.

Graeme from GTurbo has built a 4.73 stroker 12ht using the same company from what im lead to beleive.
Might ring him this week.

Engine is out, pulling it down tomorrow to inspect.
