That looks great, where are the thermos from?

The Dude: do you have any engine bay pictures and maybe some of the front end once it was assembled?

Sweet, thx mate. What are the overall dimensions of that cooler?

This is what I've done. Total cost was about US$400. Schweet. Intercooler is 450x230x65mm. Had a bonnet donated to me so rednecked it and cut a hole in and raised it to see if any engine cooling issues arise. No problems. Boost is @ 0.7bar. Original bonnet is going to get cut this week. Fibreglass bonnet scoop to be fitted trying to imitate the look of 7x V8 D4Ds.

really nice set up! thanks for sharing the blueprints with everyone. are the fans really loud, or do they sound fine? i am geussing this would be a better set up for making more power off road because the cooling comes from the fans primarily, instead of momentum-induced airflow.

extremely nice engineering on the front mount Dude. may be referencing those photos in the future :-)

I've got the fans hooked up to ignition, and they're not too loud for my ears. Obviously when engine is running it drowns them out. I'm in the process of cutting a hole in the original bonnet which is slightly larger than the intercooler core. Will then most likely lose the fans. I'd think the fans are more necessary when creating an "air dam" above the cooler, and not so necessary when you can direct air straight through the cooler. But you can treat that as hearsay.

Will post pics when next phase is done.

airflow from cooling fan

because the cooling comes from the fans primarily, instead of momentum-induced airflow.

would be motion-induced airflow, but the mechanical cooling fan pulls alot of air in too so front mount is a good idea with no additional electrical complexity/circuits/load.
