Sounds like the headers took a back seat to something of higher priority. I hate these "it's in the mail" excuses. If you're going to be delaying the final production, please be honest and say so.

But I'm curious to see the end product. The products themselves (exhaust/midpipe) look very nice. It's the PR department that needs some work.

Sounds like you mis-understood that post you linked to. That was referring to our mockup and prototyping work on the headers. They were completed shortly after that post.

Between the time prototyping and R&D is completely and the time a product is on the shelf ready to ship to customers there is a long list of work that has to be done to get a top notch quality product to you guys. The production work is what is being done right now as we speak. Be patient. Production is still on track to get these headers ready to start shipping to you guys soon. I am confident you guys will be very happy with the final product

Each set will include:
* Right bank tuned header
* Left bank tuned header
* Both left and right side mid-pipes
* Clamps, hardware, and gaskets
* Optional single high-flow catalytic converter build into the mid-pipes. (one cat per side, two cats total)
* Installation instructions

Materials and construction:
* The headers are constructed of mandrel bent 304 stainless steel piping
* Thick wall 13 gauge is used in this application for extra strength
* All flanges are thick 304 stainless steel
* All clamps and hardware are stainless steel

Notes:
* EMSPowered headers were designed for anyone that wants the maximum amount of power gains from a header upgrade that is possible

Great news! A couple of questions.

1) Is this cast in stone? Because I would like to sell my NO CAT Mid pipes, and don't want to get caught with no midpipes if this doesn't go thru.

2) This far along and no "spy photos"? Really?

3) Is this an intro price and it will change later?

1) Cast in stone, chiseled in rock, etched in the mountains

2) For some products we don't like posting photos until they're ready to go. Due to various reasons. I'll post up photos once they're close to being ready to ship.

3) Pricing is staying the same on these. No intro pricing. So you can buy them as soon as we start taking orders or buy later, the price will not be any different.

In this thread There was a heated discussion between DT and EMS about additional volume with headers being added. What is the final verdict on the volume change (if any) with the addition of the new EMS Header system with high flow cats?

Even with the resonator added, my EMS catback system is substantially louder than stock with a pronounced 'growl' from 1200-1800. Any additional 'throat' may put me out of the header market unless the headers don't alter volume or additional sound deadening can be added.

Could resonators be installed rather than catalytic converters? This setup sounds like it may be loud.

Yeah. I've seen that on the site. But, by the time you do that, you're at $300+ per side. More if you do +cats or 4 resonators. That's getting close to being the same price as the header plus midpipes setup. Unless, adding cats option to that setup isn't included in the advertised $850.

But I don't want it to be THAT loud. Lol

A 'few weeks' could mean months or it could mean 3 weeks. I don't trust that any promises will be kept.. for that, I will be looking elsewhere, even if it is a better product.

No dates have been promised. No pre orders have been taken. The first batch of these headers is being built currently and will be available soon. We do not release a product until it has been fully tested and we are sure that what you receive as an EMSPowered customer is a top notch product that is better than anything else on the market. If you need new headers for your 100-series this week, you will need to look at a different product. If you want the best available performance headers for the 100 series and can wait just a little longer, then this is the header for you.

Compensate for what? Nothing has been promised and no pre orders have been taken. Quality and tested performance products do not come free. If you want eBay/Chinese prices, then these are not for you. I'm sure people can agree that $850 for a set of thick walled long runner tuned headers + a pair of midpipes, all precision TIG welded is a heck of a deal.

These will be available to ship soon. Be patient or move on. No reason to complain so much about a product that has not even been released yet.

What I am complaining about is what has been resurfacing throughout you threads from potential customers who are genuinely intrigued with your product and want to spend their hard earned dollars, although are frustrated with the frequency and vagueness of some of your communication on the forum. You have been granted the privilege to be a vendor on this forum; all the vendors here are top notch and held to high standard. Your customers expect the same from you and we want your business to succeed. Consider complains as feedback for to improve EMS's ability to attract and retain customers. Listen to what people are talking about and you'll profit from it. End of the day, its a win-win with happy customers who become your marketing force. I don't appreciate the back handed insult to chinese/ebay pricing, like I said, we are all looking for the best deal possible as there is little competition for this type of product for this cruiser.

Anyways, the theme from the forum is that we are being patient, but some remain a bit frustrated due to the reasons above.. I appreciate your recommendation to move on and will do so..

I am not really sure what this hostility and venting is about. Confused. These headers will be available soon. I thought current mid-pipe owner's were getting a credit for returning the mid's for the new header and mid combo. Bakt, Is that correct?
