when you get them in the USA i'm happy to crawl underneath mine and take any photos that you may need and also any in dash photos if i can.
Then hopefully someone can do a writeup on the install/retrofit.

Do you have the Charcoal Canister in that location where the spare tire goes?

i'd have to check. It's close to midnight here and pouring with rain, but happy to check.
Where is it if you're looking at the tailgate from the back (left vs right) and then if i crawl under it will the spare block my view? I always thought my cannister was under the hood/bonnet.

For a non-US-spec vehicle your canister is likely still under the hood/bonnet. So you are probably fine in that regard. But probably a good idea to check anyway. On our trucks, it is located above the spare tire (right where the subtank would go) on the left side (driver's side for us). You can't miss it if it's there.

ok. soaking wet now!! no there's no cannister there. There is what's look like where two fuel lines come together.

I took some iPhone pics but i'll see how they turn out before i upload them.

edit: no i meant i'd crawl under there to help you guys install it as an Oz spec LC i have the two tanks already. The flash ruined the pics, so i'd need to take anything in daylight hours on a hoist.

one photo actually worked, but it's hard to see what it is without seeing it in place.

Thanks for checking. I guess I can ask about getting the charcoal cannister too but I think its going to get complicated and run up the costs.

98-02 U.S.-spec 100s do not have the charcoal canister back there, and you can add a sub tank without problems. It's only us unfortunates with the later trucks...

This could be a great option for those who don't want a large subtank under their rig. Also should allow them to keep their spares down below. I do wonder what parts are included in this...

Derek,
Thanks for the clarification on the years it was moved back. At least now guys can determine how much work needs to be done and can also look at those models to see how that would be accomplished.

Are there any 100 series tanks that are not spoken for?

Jeff

I'm interested if any are still available. 2001 100
