Purchased a couple years ago and not looking back. They're great and fully functional.

Yikes. My 100 series does NOT run the OPOR, but the old style. Too bad. They're very nice.

Metaltech all the way! I have had the issue sdnative posted but only when I put the vehicle lift pads on the mounting plates for the sliders (NOT RECOMMENDED)! Easy fix - just loosen the u bolts and pry them down.

I had them plate the full length with dimpled holes to keep a small childs foot or leg from going through and potentially causing a bad fall or breaking a leg. When I say full length I mean front to back not just the step out in front of the rear wheel well.

My 5,9 and 13 yr old boys don't seem to be bothered by the design of the opor sliders. Wife likes them too.

Exact same ages, my boys never have the tiniest trouble with my MT sliders, which I love and use the sh*t out of.

Boys this age are crazy though, and if they could use the sliders to parkour onto a nearby culvert, they'd happily knock a tooth out.

OPOR sliders here, zero issues with them, and I beat on them pretty hard.

Looks to me that the MT Step Slider is no longer, and replaced by their OPOR design- ( and now offered at a higher price).

There was a pretty substantial design difference between the two- not in strength per se but weight and construction and asthetics. Also note that one design for AHC and Non AHC means just 2 support arms (mounting points) and not 3.

I think the original step slider design was a nice balance between a running board and slider with all the protection and a nice finished look. The OPOR design is fine, but nothing special compared to other options in the market, especially now that the price is +$200 more and features one less support arm.
