Yes.....I am not going to say I dislike OME shocks at all because I think I would have to have identically equipped trucks side by side to tell the difference.

The guy that I helped design his truck that Tolleson built was as anal as any human I know and he swears up and down the Fox's were noticeably better

In my 62, 80, and 4runner when I took the OME shocks off and went for something different it greatly improved the ride and flex.

Andy if you are going back to HIH...take a ride in both. Foxes are rebuildable which is nice as your truck progresses with adding or removing weight.

That's what I'm gonna do, try to get by until after HIH where I can hopefully test drive some different rigs.

I'm going to hook my laptop and techstream up to my truck this weekend to get AHC pressure reads, then make some AHC and torsion bar adjustments with the truck fully loaded (like it will be for the trip out) and hopefully get it straight enough to be comfortable. After that though, all that crap is coming out and new springs/shocks/TBs are going in.

The 1" wheel spacers really changed the look, happy with that change.

Add photo here.

It's hard to get a pic that shows the full effect, which is that the tires are now square with the fenders. Even though it's only a 2" gain the stance looks way better.

Hooked up the laptop to the truck computer and verified that AHC pressures are close to spec up front and way out of spec in the rear. This meshes with the way it's been riding.

Just ordered the last set of Toyota OEM rear springs for an AHC equipped truck in the continental US (according to CDan). Mine are 8 years old after all...they have to have lost some resistance in that amount of time.

Will put those on myself in the hope that it relieves some of the strain on the AHC. Worth a shot for $160.

At that point will have exhausted all options short of pulling the AHC.

Did some electrical work today.

Switches to manually fire the rear LED cubes on the bumper, the two mounted on the roof rack, and turn on the two receptacles I added to the drawer system.

One is a standard 12v vehicle receptacle, the other is a dual USB for charging phones while camping.

Nice!

Dunno if this is worth posting or not, but I'm looking for a used winch bumper of some type for a 100 (ARB bull bar or Sahara Bar, Slee Short Bus, IronMan combo bar, etc.....Sahara would be my preference, but I may not be too choosy) I know these aren't plentiful, but since smm3 found one online, I thought I'd ask here first.

Got a general question on wheel spacers...

Have had 1" spacers on all 4 corners for about 3 weeks. Makes the truck look way better...BUT the handling is way different.

The front end feels loose, wanders over bumps, shimmies more than before, etc etc.

Anything to be done about this or are these symptoms just the result of the changed dynamics of a wider stance?

The wider stance will give you a different feel over the road. Made sure you dont have a spacer loosing up.
