Great color too

I was the one that showed up last week at the meeting and said I was about to buy a 1999 from Connecticut, and you all talked me out of it, and I thank you. I think I did much better with this one:

2002 with almost exactly 150K on it, from the South. Meticulous maintenance by the previous owner, who seems to have been a fanatic. Timing belt and water pump recently done. Not really any rust anywhere. Save for a place or two the inside is like new.

I am shocked that a vehicle that is this old and this used can look and drive so new. I am going to join the club if you will let me and I will have tons of questions. Thanks,
Great! We'd love to have you!

Is that from Birmingham? Looks good BTW

Going to be a few months but I will have an 04 LX with 63k miles that I probably will be selling.

No need to just let it sit and not be driven.

It will be expensive but I doubt many cleaner around.

Where was this post a week ago?

How dumb is it going to look if I delete the running boards but leave the fender flares on? Scared what I might find, and I really don't want to get into a bodywork or paint situation right now.

First thing I did to my wife's 100. She's not too happy, but boy, it does make a big difference.

What's interesting is that they (my wife, for example) say they "need" them, yet if you watch them get in and out, they never touch them. They step away from them getting both in and out. In fact, they're tucked underneath, so they're just "in the way," and they provide such a small step up, it's completely awkward to actually use them. People should try it for themselves.

I've heard people comment on the fact that the Range Rover is one of the better / best looking SUV on the market, and I agree. No mud flaps and no running boards.......that's a big reason on why they look so good!

The flares. By that so you mean the glue on flares around the wheel opening?

They usually scratch the truck but mostly it will buff out.

Take the stick-on flares off...they are a bigger eye sore than the running boards. wngrog is correct...anything underneath should buff out. If it doesn't, it can be handled with a small bottle of touch-up paint. Even if that's a no-go, I'd vote for scratched (even rusty) fenders over those port-installed abominations.

If that's too much, buy some 3M double-sided tape and re-install the flairs.

Thanks everyone. I'm going for it. Lots of stuff coming off the truck this weekend. I feel like I am slapping the previous owner in the face because he took such good care of it, but . . .
