PO did timing belt & waterpump fairly recently, and I did the heater tees after they blew.

No idea on the starter. Why the f@wk did they hide that thing in there? Jeebus.

I did see some seapage on the t'stat housing where it bolts together, and maybe on the rearmost part. It seems to do it as it heats up. I couldn't get it to leak after it was hot.

The PO said he got a new radiator, but something leaked after. This must be that something. Been doing it since before I got it.

I'll pull the other skid plate and pressure wash everything and see what's what.

The engine runs great tho. Would never guess it has this many miles.

Did some bodywork today. 100 series bodywork involves a hair dryer and organic, gluten free, citrus based paint remover...

Also gave it a visual lift...

Was looking at a few leaks on my hunnert today while changing the oil. What's the hang-down thing circled next to the alternator? It's pretty wet with oil. Any gaskets around there that are easy to replace?

I've got a steady coolant drip/leak, and saw drops accumulating on this plate behind the alternator. I couldn't see anything from the top, are there any hoses or connections above the alternator?

Guessing it's the camshaft seals. Seems like most only change them every other timing belt change or so. Not so much fun.

Is that hard to do even when it's all apart?

Can you pull the waterpump without dismantling everything?

Not sure how far I want to dig right now.

Cam seals are easy if you do the valve cover gaskets at the same time

I need a rear wind deflector and one (right hand side if it matters) mounting bracket for a 99. I left the garage door down a bit somehow and the deflector killed the door.

That was my first thought. I looked at it briefly, but I didn't see a place to cut it and make it look factory-ish. Also wasn't sure I could make the plastic look like it wasn't trimmed by a squirrel.

Little cut off wheel on a Dremel works good too

I was the one that showed up last week at the meeting and said I was about to buy a 1999 from Connecticut, and you all talked me out of it, and I thank you. I think I did much better with this one:

2002 with almost exactly 150K on it, from the South. Meticulous maintenance by the previous owner, who seems to have been a fanatic. Timing belt and water pump recently done. Not really any rust anywhere. Save for a place or two the inside is like new.

I am shocked that a vehicle that is this old and this used can look and drive so new. I am going to join the club if you will let me and I will have tons of questions. Thanks,
